When it came to creating Ripper, we drew inspiration from the coastal surf cultures of SoCal and Oz. Sourcing classic Cascade from the Pacific Northwest and Australian Galaxy hops from…yes…Australia, we made a beer both lovers of frothy peaks and hoppy green buds will be stoked about. At the same time, we stayed true to our San Diego roots by pushing the hop boundaries of this style. While some might think it lingers on an edge far closer to an IPA, with all the dry-hop flavor and aroma, it’s actually right in line with the current-day interpretation of a West Coast pale. Ours just so happens to have an Aussie accent that’s cascading with a juicy amount of grapefruit and passion fruit hoppiness. So veg out or venture out. Either way, rip one open and taste this awesome golden nectar!

Can from HomeBrewStuff. Rich copper color, small silky head, rings of lacing. Hoppy aroma, citrus, orange peel. Taste also leans on the bitterness, more orange peel. Malts are obliterated, this is one hoppy APA. Bitterness lingers, mildly metallic.

Had this beer from tap poured into a shaker pint. Clear golden yellow color with nice white head and great curtain lacing. Subdued piney smell. Taste is piney, bready and slightly fruity. Fairly classic west coast pale ale profile. Nice full feel. Good with food.

Poured from the 330ml can into a mug. The beer is a cloudy pure orange color with a 3 finger off white foamy head with good retention.
Smell is fruity with apricot, pineapple, mango, and pear. Balanced with honey and a slightly bready backbone. A very fruity aroma that is refreshing and sweet.
Taste is even more balanced with bread up front but then some tropical fruit in the middle. Finishes with a slight bitterness but overall balance.
Juicy is a good word to describe this beer, with lots of fruit notes at the forefront. But balance is another. Not too bitter, not too sweet. A very drinkable and enjoyable beer.

Pours an amber copper like color. 1/3" white head. Aroma is a mixture of a woody like malt base, light hopping with grapefruit rind being the most prominent aspect of the hopping rates and varieties. Light pineapple aspect. Even though there is no Amarillo, that hop came to mind here.
Taste imparts a heavier maltiness and lighter hoppiness than where Stone's place was in the game two decades ago. Surf marketing aspect here I dunno where they are going with that. Not sure where their commercial tug job about pushing the hop boundaries comes from. Hardly. If anything its the complete opposite. Your hat has been shit in.
Light cardboard and copper note in the mouthfeel. Its a heavier 'pale' ale. Not quite dropping into caramel territory, its more of a wooden light cardboard aspect. Light passion fruit evolution barely touching on tropical fruit aspects. In many ways, it tries to be SNPA, but lacks the real crisp carbonation, mouth feel and blazing Cascade bitterness. Its their tweaked pale ale essentially.

Pure Stone...guess "San Diego Pale Ale" is Californian for India Pale Ale.

Poured into a Rastal teku glass.
A: Body is quite crystalline with yellow color. Head is white, shows great lacing and minor retention.
S: Aroma is very citrusy with a minor tropical tone, with notes of orange, tangerine, grapefruit and a undertone of pineapple and passionfruit.
T: Taste starts off with a tangerine to grapefruit like profile that quickly pushes into the bitter tone of the fruit as the hops show their pristine strength, making this a very drinkable beer.
M: Body is medium. Carbonation is spot on. Alcohol is unnoticeable. Bitterness is high.
O: Kinda digging this APA, as I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is for me. Though one can say that the taste is bit bland and empty, I'd say that that characteristic is exactly what brings a huge drinkability to this, having a more powered hops instead of a fruit-powered profile.

This is an interesting ale. It’s lightly warm and tasty. Feels like a sweet bitter brew. The aftertaste is excellent. This is one is likely to grow on me!

De 32gp. En copa Teku. Leyendo C++20 for Programmers Ch8. Agradable apa de fondo resinoso y terroso que se disfruta bastante a pesar de cierta sensación industrialoide que presenta. Deja un largo retrogusto amargo en boca que se agradece mucho
