Poured from a 22 ounce bottle, dated 06/06/17, a clear dark golden under a one-inch thick off-white head which leaves spotty lace. Aroma is dominated by citrus fruits (tangerine, orange, grapefruit) and some tropical passion fruits. Flavor is highly malted, pine sap, resiny, dank and citrusy. Semi-full body, and moderate carbonation. Bitter and sticky finish. Strong and powerful whirlpool into the celestial beyond. Cool.

Poured from a bomber into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy dark caramel brown pour. 1 finger of white head. Great rim of lacing.
S: Dank and citrusy. Fruity... floral... smells awesome.
T/F: Thick and rich... caramel malts and sweetness with a huge hop presence. Loads of dank resinous hops. Citrus, over-ripened stone fruit, pine sap, and floral tones. Bitter but super balanced so that it's frighteningly drinkable. Sticky on the palate. Finish is bitter citrus. Warming... and the high ABV isn't terribly hidden. This drinks big in every way.
O: A super beer... big, bold, and very 'Stone'. Designed to NOT be sessionable... just a blast of flavor and bitterness. All around super.

Skipped past this, but then took another look at a local Trader Joe’s. Something looked off, then I saw that it was double dry-hopped with Centennial & Citra. Also a SoCal exclusive. Had to pick it up. Really liked the original, giving it a 4.30 back in 2012. I love Citra, but hit and miss with Centennial. Hope this one comes out to at least a 4.15.
Poured a copper/garnet, clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky, off-white head. Lots of bubbles coming up along the side of the glass. Outstanding uneven sporadic lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled huge whiffs of Citra, floral, dank resin and dry, icy Centennial late up front. Also got dish soap, lime, tangerine, orange blossom, tropical fruit punch and spoiled citrus rind. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste was even better than the nose. Got Citra, bitter tangerine rind, floral, dry Centennial, woody pine sap, dank resin, dish soap and lime. No hiding that 10.8 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Oily-to-sticky texture. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Hot damn this was a really good DIPA. I went back and forth with pretty much all the categories, but still a really fantastic beer. (Overall - 4.25)

Reminds me much more of the dryness of the first batch of Ruination 10th Anniversary, last few batches of RuinTen have been too sweet, this fixes that nicely (without some BS orange peel and vanilla bean, WTF). For those that never tried this originally as the 10th Anniv offering, recommend grabbing if you can.

Picked up from Valley Beverage in Sherman Oaks, CA. 10.8% ABV, fresh out of the case.
Look: pours a beautiful burnt orange color, a very thing head of white foam.
Smell: Dense, piney hops with slight floral characteristics. Very mild sweetness in the finish.
Taste: Again, very hop forward! Bitter and piney, very resinous. Sharp citrus bitterness hits the back of the mouth, with a slight sweetness like tangerine but with the bite of sour grapefruit. Don't get me wrong though, this is a hopheads delight.
Feel: Mildly heavy body, sticky mouthfeel. Nice even carbonation that really delivers the hop bitterness well.
A great beer from Stone yet again! It's been awhile since I've had the OG Ruinten or the Orange Peel & Vanilla Bean, but this one's hard to top. If you're in SoCal, pick one up! It's exclusive to the area, so keep your eyes peeled.
