A thanks to the stupendous woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a hazy orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of citrus, light pine. Taste is the same as the aroma, there is a strong malt backbone, fairly mild bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

L - Bronze with 1 full finger of lace and tons of sticky lace. Classic Stone IPA appearance. Gorgeous

S - Citrus aromas, tangerine. Big malty undercurrent. Very distinct Stone IPA aroma.

T - More bitter than citrus. Nice malty backbone. Delicious.

F - Medium body and carbonation

O - It tastes like a flashback to the original Ruination days. So good, and so glad to taste the classic stone IPA again. Love this beer

For a brewery that puts out such great IPA’s, this was kind of underwhelming. Very pedestrian, middle of the road kind of IPA. Nothing memorable about this. If this was a no name brewery, I would say it was good, but coming from Stone, this is kind of a letdown.

Bronze; orange-lemon hard candy, dried pineapple + papaya; slight caramel, dank edge, then some citrus oil, pine, heat, and a bit of pear; salty with real IBUs.

Super candied nose; shame that the Mosaic doesn’t turn up. Clean + sweet - very Stone. Far from their best, though.

Pours cloudy gold color with a fluffy bright white colored head that was 2 fingers thick and packed with tiny bubbles, dissipating very slowly and leaving good foamy rings.

Smells of tangerine, orange peel, biscuit, graham cracker, lemon zest, light floral hops, more citrus and honey. A nice well balanced IPA nose that is on the sweet side in a good way.

Not as hoppy as most Stone IPA's, this had a lot of malty notes like biscuit, toasted grains, Frosted Flakes cereal and graham cracker before the citrus sweetness took over. Like the nose the taste includes tangerine, orange peel, lemon zest, light floral hops and honey, but also includes mild grapefruit, dry citrus hops, tea leaf and peppery spices. It's smooth with a light bitterness, overall a tasty and session-able IPA.

I got a six pack of this on sale for $6.99 at a local distro and ofcourse it was 5 months old, so it might have lost some hop character/flavors. My overall feeling was that it is a very average tasting IPA. It has all of the piney stuff going on, but that's about it. I kind of thought that there might be something a bit more being that it is Stone and all. I want to rate this as being just o.k. and that's about it.

Poured a cloudy yellow body with great head and lace ring down the glass. Aroma is mild citric and some earthy, floral hops. Beer is light-bodied, smooth, clean, has a crisp finish and is comprised mostly of a floral, earthy hop bite with some citric notes and is pretty basic but enjoyable.

12oz can, date stamped 06/12/18 and EJB 10/10/18. Thanks to my friend, Ken, for giving me a couple of cans to try. Golden colored IPA with a tall & frothy off-white head. Hoppy & floral aroma of lemony citrus, faint pine, earthy grass, and a bit of honey & pale grain for malt. Bold flavors cover the palate with lemongrass, grapefruit, earthy pine, honey, light caramel, and vegetal mint. Medium body, lively carbonation, dry and bitter finish. A very unique IPA; I dig it.

-can. Hop worship series.

A: Light to medium orange with a good clarity. Small bready textured, dull white head holds good enough. Small carbonation presence with a minimal glass dressing. Basic standard ipa looks.

S: Sweet lemon-lime, almost sprite like. Leans more heavily on the lime aspect. Soft flowery pine, again with some lemon-lime mixture. Standard strength offering, diminishing returns are short.

T: The flavor was dry hopped and moderately strong, what’s to be expected from Stone. Flowery bitterness shows citrus and some dried orange peel and grapefruit notes. Touches of green fruit. Again, more old school bittering. Some dried fruit bitterness from the mosaic hops, while the El Dorado adds a bit of dried tropical bitterness.

M: Is rather crisp around the tongues edges, with a sharp feel. The body is moderately heavy, with bready malts.

O: Overall Stone is no stranger to bittering ipa’s, especially when it comes to dry hopping. Some dried fruit and tropical bitterness with loads of citrusy flowery bitterness plays well with one another. Nothing that will wow you with a new experience, just another heavily, dry hopped stone beer would be my only complaint. Good malt support, bready and hearty, with a respectable bitterness to enjoy multiples of.

Copper filtered with little carbonation and a half finger of off white head.

Smells of caramel, burnt toast and oranges.

Big dank, earthy, green herbal hop quality. Lemon balm, and big, dull bitterness.

Medium to light body with little carbonation.

Got at Total Wine in Sacramento yesterday, drinking in Redding the first day of BSSM. Excellent brew.

Idolatrous IPA pours a copper color, with a big, long lasting lacing head. Piney aroma, with hints of citrus. Flavor is juicy, and piney, with hints of citrus; big fresh hop notes. Good body and feel. Overall, this beer is bold, dry, piney and just a great IPA.

12oz can into a pint glass. canned 5/31/18, so 3 months old. Best by 9/28/18.

Crystal clear slightly pale golden yellow body. Nice bright white bubbly head replenished by decent carbonation. Good lacing.

There is a faint piney aroma.

While clearly not the hop assault it would have been 1-2 months ago, there is still a significant bite. Slightly sweet background and a touch flowery.

Mouth is somewhat foamy & full, finish bittersweet.

Overall, with a bit of age on it, this drink still produces a pleasing balance to this palate. Will be sipping the other 5 in the fridge quite soon methinks.

I had this at the Stone tap takeover the other week at BeerNV's 3rd(?) anniversary celebration. Was a cool event. Pours yellow with 1/2" white head, good clarity and retention. Aroma had a lemon, grapefruit mix coupled with some dankiness that seems in line with the Mosaic hop addition.

Taste is good, the bittering units are there, but the El Dorado and Mosaic provide plenty more flavor than the tired one trick grapefruit pony often gets into, its more layered with other citrus, tropical and tree notes simultaneously. The body is dry and light. This is definitely one of the better Stone ipas of recent years, possibly the best since Enjoy By, which is a great example of a world class/near world class ipa made in mass production.

Its a good mix of a light body, substantial hopping, decent bitterness, and an above average mix in terms of quality and quantity of hops and hop flavors.

Pours a light copper with very little head. Clear.

Big time nose....smells of pine, lemon, has a floral characteristic.

Taste is resinous...astringent, pine. I'm not getting the fruit that others have mentioned.

Crisp, dry finish.

Very enjoyable IPA...although it has Mosaic hops, to me it has a classic West Coast IPA flavor profile.

Pours a slightly foggy orange with a finger of white foam. Aroma is pine, resin, and dank that forms a resiny-evergreen forest smell. It has some bite. Flavor profile is syrupy resin and pine hops with light dank hops at the back. Biscuit, bread, and caramel malts give it a little malty sweetness, but most of the flavor is the bite from the forest-like hops. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a crisp texture. Overall, a crisp IPA that features biting, but not over-powering, hop qualities.

Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz can.

Clear lighter shade of gold color with very good white cap and lacing.

Aroma of clean, piney hops with a decidedly citrus bent of ripe fruits. I get grapefruit and pineapple.

Taste is hop forward with a solid malt base. I don't taste the malt so much as feel it supporting the hops, plenty of it in there though. Hops are the headliner here with enough to cover the spectrum of resin bitterness to citrus fullness all well mixed together. We expect this level of hopping in an IPA but not everyone pulls it off with such finesse.

Full texture with balancing carbonation.

Well crafted with the hop adventurer in mind.

Ooomph! Cracking the can open and starting to pour it out into a glass the smell just hit me. It hit me hard with its amazing intensive, aggressive flavor. Smelling it closely I recognized blood orange, meaning it has, beyond the earthy and resinous flavors there is plenty of fruitiness as well.
Also I recognized again that I love El Doraho and Mosaic hops. They create the perfect blend that I admire so much in IPAs. And it goes without saying that it is all thanks to the mastery of Stone. This beer is again one that I will gladly remember, like their Citracado IPA or the Ruination.
Stone makes classics. They bottle liquid experience that you share with them. They give you memories that last. And I feel this is just one of them. This is a great beer that I am glad to have had, this is a great beer whose taste made me feel good. Thank you Stone once again, hope you keep on brewing outstanding beers for long!

A: Slightly hazy light orange, thin head

O: A good IPA but not as hop forward as most of Stone’s offerings

The beer pours out a crystal clear dark golden color, with 1 finger of off white head-------------- the aromas are of floral notes and pineapple(very light aroma)------------ the flavors are of sweet malt, earthyness, pine, pineapple and grapefruit, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a light bitterness on the finish------------------- overall this beer was good - this was a tasty beverage from those hop heads at stone, I liked that this one was a little more tropical and citrus than the big pine and resinous hop bombs they do

Another (good) Stone IPA...but I repeat myself. Light golden honey, terrific nose --- volumes of floral and pine come up from the glass. Give it an agressive pour and get your snozzle down there to take it all in. Ultra smooth, blanced and clean. Could use a smidgen more carbonation to keep things lively, but that's a nit. Stone turns these out like it was No Big Deal, but we know otherwise.

L - Yellow/golden with great clarity and a medium white head.
S - Piney, resiny, bitter hops with notes of lemon - the smell is pretty faint however.
T - Piney, bitter, resiny hops dominate the palate along with notes of lemon, grassy notes.
F - light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Clean, crisp, and light. Would be very refreshing on a hot summer day.
O - This is a great IPA overall that's clean and crisp - it showcases the hops well, but all in all, this beer is plagued by the common issue all of Stone's releases have suffered this year - there's nothing special about this beer that makes it stand out. It's got some more bitterness compared to their other IPAs that have been released this year - which is a good thing...but more work needs to be done. Great IPA, but in a time when all brewers are pushing out tons of great IPAs, Stone needs to put out something new and fresh, rather than the same thing rehashed.

From a 12oz can:

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow, big head.

Smell: Mix of pineapple, berries, and dankness.

Taste: Follows the smell--fruit mix with pineapple up front then berries in back. Moderate bitterness.

Overall: Stone still makes good IPA's, this one follows the hops pretty closely--El Dorado (pineapple) and Mosaic (berry). I need to get around to trying some of their other recent ones!

Brilliant yellow color with loads of hop haze underneath a billowy bone-white head that tracks your progress through the beer. Nose has some dank citrus notes, but there’s also a berry component that is intriguing.

Welcome to the party, Mr Fresh Blueberry. The taste has mango, guava, and a smorgasbord of fresh blueberries. Simply outstanding.

This is most definitely a Stone IPA, and I love Stone IPA’s, so by the transitive beer nerd property, I love this beer.
