The clear golden beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1/2” fluffy off white head that recedes slowly leaving lacing on the sides of the glass. Sipping creates arches and lots small patches and legs of lacing, only a few of which slide back down to the liquid. Even mid-way through the beer there is still an thin irregular island of foam on the surface.
The aromas are filled with citrus along with both some light floral and light tropical notes. All of them are riding on a bit of a malty backbone with some light caramel bready character.
The flavors are much as expected from the nose with lots of grapefruit and citrus up front, some tropical fruits in the background along a touch touch of zest or resin. The malt sweetness adds a touch of caramel but does not really interfere with either the hop flavors or the bitterness.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly crisp with the moderate carbonation. The medium length finish begins as the citrus and tropical fruits start to recede, to be followed by the malt sweetness. By the fairly dry ending what remains is some zest-like bitterness tinged with some tropical fruits.
Overall, as we’d expect from Stone, this is a well made IPA with a combination of hops that play well together at showcasing the citrus and tropical fruit aromas/flavors. The malt backbone is just enough to soften the bitterness a bit so that it does not rasp the tongue.

Pale straw gold liquid with a half inch of white foam that coats the glass with sheets of lace.
Smells deliciously dank, pineapple, mango.
Taste is is citrus, unripe papaya, orange marmalade, moderate pithy bitterness. Clean, bitter, orange/citrus finish.
Medium well crafted and creamy body holds together well across the tongue.
A great smelling IPA, a really solid creamy body with the perfect carbonation. Being picky I’m finding the flavor is a good but not what’s hinted at in the smell.

Just a touch bit hazy, but overall it’s pretty clean and golden with a nice foamy white head. Nose starts slightly mango sweet before tailing off into an earthy, ripe veggie finish. Taste starts with the same sweetness until a bitter bite of grapefruit drifts in, only to leave in the same manner as the nose, which is to say a little on the earth side. Feels pretty light but leaves behind a chalky, resiny bitter tongue blanket. Doesn’t really remind me of classic Stone IPAs, like maybe they got away from the old malt lineups or something. Different yeast? Dunno, just doesn’t have the same depth as everything Bastard.

Initial impression from a can:
7% ABV. Hopped with El Dorado and Mosaic.
APPEARANCE: Vibrant copper body. Frothy white head. ~8 minute head retention.
AROMA: Tropical zest. Dried mango. Pale malts. Hop profile seems decent. Mosaic's full potential is not exploited here judging by the aroma.
TASTE: Matches the aroma with some unchecked bitterness manifesting in the late second act as well. A bit unpleasant. Hop profile is wanting; Mosaic is not well showcased.
TEXTURE: Unrefreshing, a bit too full-bodied, and in-between smooth & coarse and rough & dry. Overcarbonated.
OVERALL: On the high end of average. It's a very simplistic IPA of limited depth of flavour that doesn't showcase its hops well. More mediocrity from the marketing company that happens to make beer.

L - Bronze with 1 full finger of lace and tons of sticky lace. Classic Stone IPA appearance. Gorgeous
S - Citrus aromas, tangerine. Big malty undercurrent. Very distinct Stone IPA aroma.
T - More bitter than citrus. Nice malty backbone. Delicious.
F - Medium body and carbonation
O - It tastes like a flashback to the original Ruination days. So good, and so glad to taste the classic stone IPA again. Love this beer

12oz can into a pint glass. canned 5/31/18, so 3 months old. Best by 9/28/18.
Crystal clear slightly pale golden yellow body. Nice bright white bubbly head replenished by decent carbonation. Good lacing.
There is a faint piney aroma.
While clearly not the hop assault it would have been 1-2 months ago, there is still a significant bite. Slightly sweet background and a touch flowery.
Mouth is somewhat foamy & full, finish bittersweet.
Overall, with a bit of age on it, this drink still produces a pleasing balance to this palate. Will be sipping the other 5 in the fridge quite soon methinks.

Look: semi clear golden color. 3F head. Good retention. Spiegelau IPA glass.
Aroma: very floral, earthy.
MF: just the right amount of carbonation. Hoppy finish. Good consistency.
Taste: dwarfed by hoppiness. Very light citrus and tropical fruit. This should be accentuated. Too much earthy overtones detracting from the taste.
Overall: good beer, not favorite from the brewer.
