Had on tap at Brouwer's Cafe
A: Pours a clear golden color with a small white head on top. Decent retention with foamy lacing randomly forming on the glass.
S: A very intense aroma, lots of citrus fruits, mostly grapefruit and lemon zest with plenty of pine on the back end.
T: Nice and bitter, but never really too bitter for me at least. More grapefruit with a bit higher percent of pine/resin than was on the aroma. All hops on this one as there really isn't much in terms of malt on the flavor profile.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Nice and bitter with a slightly dry finish.
O: Going in I thought this beer was going to over the top bitter, but it was very nice. Amazingly the malt kept things in check enough to make it surprisingly drinkable.

Draft to imperial pint glass. Looks good; burnt orange with a nice head. Smells great! The double dry hopping is noticeable and very pleasant. Taste is great too! A much-improved version of an already delicious beer. The dry hopping really adds some nice flavor to the beer. Mouthfeel is very good. Overall, this is an outstanding brew that is definitely worth seeking out. I'd probably sit here all night if there wasn't a CBS tapping tonight. I LOVE Cincy Beer Week!

I was anxiously awaiting the pleasure of double dry hopped ruination, and now that i’m sipping it down I fully appreciate the extreme bitterness of the brew. Golden in color with a centimeter of persistent head and considerable residue clinging to the side of the pint. Lemony aromas mingle with hints of herbs and grassy notes. I get more of the malt body in this inception of ruination (maybe I need to try them side by side), but the delicious bittering hops come in on the back end to dry the palate. Solid west coast ipa to be sure, but the price tag at this bar ($7) doesn’t warrant a second round when I can purchase a bomber of standard ruination for $3.99 at select markets.

Thanks to Ehammond1 for this great growler pick up for Bottleshare.
Fairly hazy orange color. Bubbly eggshell colored head. Good retention and lacing.
Fantastic nose. Big bright Citra and Centennial hops stand out. With Nice citrus notes along with sweet Pineapple.
Amazing flavor. Sweet nice citrus and floral hops. Great balance. Mild bitter back end and finish. Nice candy malt backbone.
Light-medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Very fresh and crisp.
Overall an amazing beer. Too bad they can't dry hop all Ruination this way so we could have this awesome beer with the same accessibility. Big beautiful Centennial and Citra hop nose and flavor just make this already great beer exceptional.

Fresh growler provided by ehammond1
Look: Yellowish orange in color with 1/4 inch head and no real retention
Smell: Like most stone beers there is a nice citrus aroma to it especially from the citra but the more and more I smell this one it reminds me of cat piss with a citrus note to it
Taste: Similar to the nose in the fact that the beer is pretty much all citrus hints of orange and grapefruit are very present mixed in with a nice malt backbone
Mouthfeel: Medium body and medium to high carbonation and just a bit dry
Overall: Pretty decent beer was expecting more to be honest. But still recommended if you have not tried it

on tap at cheeky monk colfax, an exquisite beer for the refined hophead. this one pours light and clear, honey colored, with a delicate pure white lace on top. smells sticky and fresh, big bold hop nose mixing pine and grapefruit to create a bittersweet sappy aroma, just beautiful. the taste is a degree or so less intense and fresh. the hops are still huge, but the oily fresh picked vibe is all but gone. some sweetness comes thorugh, like clover honey, this beer tastes more floral than anything now. maybe from the yeast. mouthfeel is brightly carbonated but not too heavy on the body. i also like the fact that the alcohol is low key, even though its super strong. i enjoyed this a lot.

My notes on this one were pretty minimal, unfortunately, a napkin affair. Anyway...
Appearance: A golden agave colour, not entirely translucent, with a thin ring of white foam
Nose: Bright, hoppy, sweet fruit in there too, very fresh, lively scent. Citrus burst, milder pine.
Mouthfeel: Soft mouthfeel, low carbonation with a light-to-medium body
Flavour: Well-layered and surprising tame hop profile (for Stone's standards), sweet golden fruit flavours and leafy green herb, slight honey in the finish and a lingering hop zest.
Overall- A very enjoyable IPA, not my first pick for the style, and not my favorite try from Stone by any means, but solid. Would definitely repeat, though honestly prefer the standard Ruination a bit better as of this review.
