look: 4 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

A: Very dark black, small head with really thick lacing running along the sides of the glass.

S: A nice smoky, roasted malt aroma, very strong.

T/M: Right up front there's a strong roasted malt taste, very coffee-like, a little bitter, then leavened by a fruity sweetness. A little alcohol bite in the finish.

O: Really great beer, dominated by more malty/roasted characteristics rather than strong hops.

Stone Brewing co. Sublimely Self Righteous Ale/Stone 11th Anniversary

3.99 for a 22 oz bottle

Appearence: Deep Black center with red coloring coming towards the ends of the glass. nice 2 finger head, slightly off white.

Aroma: Smells malty more then hoppy as i expected. I get the smell of simcoe hops, how they smell when they are added to the boil.

Taste: Very hoppy with a roasty brown ale type finish. Almost a coffee like taste from the roastiness. If i were to pin point a hop I would say chinook though I may be wrong.

Mouthfeel: Well Carbonated. Classic feel of ripping the enamel off your teeth. Somewhat numbing to the tastebuds

Overall: Surely a Sublimely self righteous ale. Great Brew, If I were the one to make the call to bring this brew into the year round schedule I would have done the same. GREAT BREW
