Interesting take on the style, with a unique combination of herbs. Likely a good to accompany food, like lamb or turkey, less impressive to drink without.

Pours a frosty orange-yellow, with a medium-thin white head. Head retention is fairly strong, with a good amount of lacing left behind. Smell is of lemon, sage, rosemary, and a bit of spicy Belgian yeast. Very herbal. The flavor profile is more rosemary, parsley, sage, and a twinge of lemon at the end. Again, very herbal. It tastes like you're walking through the herb aisle of a garden center. Feel is medium bodied. Overall, a pleasant beer that certainly has a striking aroma and flavor profile. If you're not into herbs though, avoid it. A bit polarizing as far as taste and mouth feel go.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

Poured on draft into a pint glass. A clear golden yellow with decent lacing. Very lemony taste and smell. Some other citrus flavor and some pepper. There is a distinct hoppy bitterness, not a mellow saison!

2016 vintage, 12 oz. bottle poured into tulip.

A- Golden color, semi-hazy. Half inch white head needs some swirling to keep alive.

S- The savories come out first. Rosemary, sage, thyme. Some citrus. Also some spice coming from the yeast.

T- Mild toasty malt. Backed by herby savory flavor. Herbs cover up any yeast or hop flavor.

M- Fairly light. There is a dryness and lingering herbal flavor.

O- You don't see too many savory beers. This one is different, but would probably pair well with Thanksgiving dinner.

Poured into a tulip glass at 50 degree. The beer presents with a persistent eggshell color that is foamy and cream. The color of the beer is medium goldenrod color with some amber hues. The beer has a lot of carbonation bubbles and is slightly cloudy.

A ripe fruity nose yeast, toasted malt, lemon oranges. a subtle sweetness, floral, and perfume,

A ripe sweet fruit, lemons, oranges, toasted malt, perfume floral, grassy, grapefruit,

The mouthfeel is slightly tannic, and lingering with a medium light body.

Overall a pretty good offering from stone brewing. wonderful flavors and easy to drink.

On tap at PreFunk. Pours out a nice clear golden with soft creamy head, lazy carbonation. Slightly oily, creamy mouth feel, yeasty, grassy aroma and taste. Mild spice on the back on the finish leaves some tang lingering.

Aroma and taste are funky, almost Brett-like. Strong herbal notes from the parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. Cracker malts, fleshy fruit and citrusy hops round it out. Good, off-kilter Saison.

I have had this beer a couple of different times previously but never taken the time to do a solid review. So here goes. This highly carbonated beverage generates two fingers of fluffy white head with a regular pour. The body is a hazy golden wheat in color. Head has decent retention and leaves scattered lace as it slowly fades. The nose is flowery and bright and includes tones of orange peel sweet yeast and soft fruit. The best way for me to describe the flavor of this beer is very much like drinking a liquid flower. It is soft and smooth yet full of flowery floral notes in the flavor. Almost like a very good artisian bath soap but in a good way. There are no offputting flavors here. I can see why some may be a little put off by this beer but I find nothing unattractive or harsh about it anyway. Overall this is a solid beer but probably not one that I would go out of my way for.

When I told my brother about this beer he said he didn't want to drink anything that had more seasoning than his meal. I disagree, and I think a saison is a great beer to try that with. I drank most of the six pack from the bottle, but poured one into a larger wine glass for review purposes. Bottled 2/18/16. Vibrant gold, light lacing sustained by a moderate carb. For smell, taste, flavor, feel: Zesty. Fruity. Citrusy. Juicy. The saison qualities are subtle behind the overpowering additives. Interesting, but below some others I've tried like this (Hey Citrus, for example).
