2014 edition that's poured into a Lunar Brewing Company sifter.

A) Dark brown, shoe leather, somewhat clear, thick head interesting for being 11% abv.

S) Brown sugar, sweet malt, caramel, toast, sherry too

T) Same as the aroma, no alcohol it's well hidden.

M) Thick batter like, medium carbonation

O) Very solid barley wine. I know it's American but I didn't get any hop character what so ever. I almost thought it was an English style until I re-read the label. It could have been the bottle or my pallet could have been off. Go get this one!

Pours a hazy medium amber color. 1 finger light tan colored head seems fairly dense. Head dissipates to a small layer of cream. Good lacing left behind.

Aroma is caramel and toffee malt. Piney, earthy hops. Toasted coconut.

Hop flavors come through first. A bit earthy and a bit spicy.. Piney and resinous. Smooth malt flavors abound. Caramel, toffee, biscuit, molasses, and toasted coconut.

Rich, semi-thick mouth feel. Moderate carbonation. Creamy and oily on the tongue. Lingering bitterness fading to a malty sweetness.

A solid American Barleywine with really good balance/blending of flavors between malt and hop. Aroma seems a little dull but mouth feel is great.
