On draught at the West End Tavern. Golden orange color with a decent sized white head. Great aromas on this beer with floral scents, peach, dark fruits, maybe some raspberry. Flavors of the red wine barrel come through more in the taste with earthy notes, more dark fruit flavors, and some sourness. Smooth, mouth feel on the lighter side. Overall a very good and intriguing beer, a conversation starter.

On tap at The Pittsford Pub in Pittsford, NY.

This one pours a murky pink-ish orange, with a small head, and a good amount of lacing.

This one smells like red wine, dark fruit, wood, Belgian yeast, and some mild hops.

This is a really interesting beer- hard to figure out. It was listed on the menu as white wine barrel aged, but after tasting how tannic it was, I talked to the Stone rep and confirmed that it was indeed red wine BA. The red wine comes through pretty strongly, with some nice wine-soaked fruit flavors, some apricot and pineapple, some clovey bitterness, ad some oak. There's definitely a lot going on here, which is cool.

This is medium bodied, with a high level of carbonation, and a crisp, slightly juicy mouthfeel.

A really interesting beer, and another curveball from Stone. It's cool to see them do something well that's not a hop bomb.
