You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

2x IPA lover here -- this beer OVERRATED. After just having enjoyed a KBS and the pure enjoyment and understanding of such a finely crafted brew, I don't have any idea why folks are doing backflips over Enjoy By. Average all the way around... where's the taste distinction, brewmaster character, special note/feel/taste?!

Look – Thin, white head. Bright, golden translucent body.

Smell – What you expect a dank to smell like. Dirty, YMCA shower before going to the pool.

Taste – Where is the alcohol? Sweet grapefruit taste. Bitter aftertaste.

Feel – Feels heavier than expected. Filling. Not much expansion.

Overall – I like this dank IPA, but that is what I go for in IPAs. It is a hit it and quit it release.

Lots of hype and expensive, so you would expect the very best. Well its not the very best but its darn good. Enjoyable would be an understatement. This is a very fresh beer and I like it!

Enjoyed 4.20 on 3.05.

Clear gold -- no cloudiness. Head made of tiny bubbles, lots of lacing.

Mild fruity smell, hint of onion. Freshness is noticeable.

Taste continues with fruit, hint of onion, and super dank. Some malt sweetness peeks through. Bitter, but not more than you'd expect for a DIPA.

A bit too much alcohol burn on this one for everyday drinking, in my opinion. Also the syrupy/oily feel contributes to feeling of heft.

If you prefer dank/fruit hop flavors over floral/pine, this could be one of your favorite IPAs. Very fresh example of that style. For me it's just a solid option. I love the clear labelling and hope it sets an example for other breweries.

Also, this is way better than their old DIPA, Ruination.

Update: A year later I had the 2016-04-20, and the quality hasn't dropped a bit.

Enjoy By 4-20-15

Look - Pours a deep golden honey with fluffy white head. Small bubbles, decent distribution, good retention, good clinging. 4.25 paws.

Smell - Very dank aromas of green onion, kitty litter, stonefruit, honey, chamomile, strawberry and kiwi. 4.25 paws

Taste - Lots of green onion, citrus rind, lemon drops, sage and peach with a pleasantly bitter finish. Somewhat boozy, with a solid honey sweet malt backbone. 4.25 paws.

Feel - Fairly viscous, lightly syrupy, medium bodied. Tingle on tip of the tongue. 4.25 paws.

Overall - I always enjoy an Enjoy By. 4.25 paws.
