You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

A: Golden brown can see straight through the tulip. 1/2 finger of head w/ little lacing
S: grapefruit-mango-floral bouquet. Very appealing
T: Clean crisp hop blast. Not too bitter, not too malty, really balanced. Taste is on par w/ scent for flavor. Lingering aftertaste is divine. Booze is there so-so
M: really enjoying the fact that this does not leave a film behind Great carbonation.
O: fell in love with this stuff a year ago. Throughout the past year I've experienced a drastic change in my pallet. This offering remains consistent.

Best IPA I've had to date. Had it as a sampling at a beer distributor by me. Picked up a few singles of other beers, left, drove halfway home and turned around. Picked up a Growler.

Batch: Enjoy by 5/17/13
Consumed on 5/15/13

At first sip it was surprisingly good.... good hop punch, balance and a crisp tongue snapping finish.... the thing that really got me is how drinkable it was and how on my ride home I just couldn't get that goodness it left out of my mouth... it's the type that you wanna continue drinking... a big standout to me was how ridiculously fresh it tasted. I definitely recommend anyone to try this... even if your not an IPA fan... you may just turn around to like it after all.

Edit: I have had severall bottled versions and on draft afterwards. Some bottled versions I did taste the onion-y hop to it. None were better than the 5/17/13 version.

This is the 11/12/13 model. Light, lively and fresh. A very deceptive 9.4% on the palate, it hits the head not long after passing the gums. Mild peach and nectarine notes in the flavor, along with the same sort of tartness and bitterness those fruits can provide. A lingering top note of sweetness is there that persists beyond the IPA bitterness.
I've had a few of these Enjoy By beers and they've all been lovely. I hope Stone keeps up the trend.
