You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

Enjoy By Pi (3.14.15), sadly sampled a little late, but still terrific. Nose could be more pungent, but excellent dry, pale-malt grainy notes mingle with floral sugariness and hints on limey pine. The color and flavor match the dexterity of the aroma, but with greater and more assured—though still ultimately mild and measured—intensity: pale, round golden-brown chromatics meet rich, grassy sugars and juicy, soft-touch hops, featuring notes of papaya, nasturtium, and hints of lemon-zest.

Great balance, great depth, great freshness and refreshment.

I've had many variants of this, this particular review is based on Enjoy By 4.20.15.

A: Dark orange, see through with a nice finger of head.
S: Mango, pineapple, grapefruit, some danky garlic/onion in the background. Some sweet background notes from the malt.
T: Pop of bitterness right up front. Little bit spicy in the middle mouth with garlic/onion notes mentioned before. Lots of grapefruit and orange peel.
M: Full bodied with a dry finish. Nice carbonation that complements the taste well.
O: Great offering everytime I have it. The fresher the better!

22oz. bottle split into two snifters.

A - Poured an opaque ambery yellow, thin, short head.

S - The most aromatic brew I've ever laid nose on. Promises of dark fruit, citrus, and wonderful flora entice...

T - ...and totally disappoint. The rich fruit is a little present on the front but is quickly smashed by a bomb of hop flavor and bitterness. I mean "bomb" as in a messy, directionless explosion. Residual bitterness is extreme, and almost seems to step on each successive sip.

M - Certainly not bad. Not too aggressive - it lets the hop presence take care of that.

O - Maybe my taste for hops is underdeveloped, but the extreme bitterness really takes away from the hop flavor here. If it tasted like it smelled, this would be incredible.

04.20.15 consumed on 04.11.15 so I get the freshness angle, but refrigeration is not to be overlooked when preserving IPA's. Nice lacing and good balance between the citrus and bitterness although sort of a sweet fruit forward in the front end. Taste of orange juice stands out in front and not as much "devastatingly dank" as advertised on the label. ABV seems well hidden. I'm not sure if î is really hidden or is it the Lupulin River I had a half hour before. Still a good but not great IPA.
