You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers - especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs - we've taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We've not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you're getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn't randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we've sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

In my opinion, this is about as good as an IPA can be (among the very best I've had to date). If you don't love strong and fresh hoppiness, don't get this. It is perfectly balanced hoppy deliciousness! I recently acquired a case of the 4-20-15 and I can't wipe the smile off my face. This beer is a grand slam!

Enjoy by 4/20

This one came a pale gold with a lovely film of head that stuck around until the end.

Smells of ridiculously fresh hops. I have not yet found a way to articulate this, but super-fresh hops have like a tingle in the senses that arises from its musky vegetative quality, and this one's packed with them. There's also an accompaniment of red grapefruit and pine, with a sweet and smooth orange juice beneath.

Tastes quite similar with seemingly -all- aromatic hops as there is nearly nothing dry and bitter in the finish. The same tingly-fresh, dank-ass hops are here, with a menagerie of tropical fruits. There's a very powerful yet intimate encounter with fresh hops going on here that is an utter delight.

Feels smooth and velvety, and extremely clean.

What a delight to find on tap. This is a great example of what an IPA can be.

Potent aroma of citric, floral and grassy hops. Taste is so fresh like the hops are still floating in the beer. Bitter but not lingering bitterness on the tongue. This beer is smooth as it it but especially for a beer over 9%abv. Loved it and so did the people who shared it with me!

Enjoy by 04.20.15
I don't know how to feel about this beer. I really like the smell, nice floral notes and a little bit of sweet stone fruit. I like the taste but I expected a little bit more punch from something that says devastatingly dank on the bottle. That being said it is very drinkable and has strong citrus flavors which build up as you drink. Another solid offering from Stone.

Lately I have been getting a little obsessive about my beer being fresh. So when I heard about a beer that was made for very limited window like this one I knew I had to try it... 22oz bought from total wine on 4-2-15

Pours a light brown golden body with a fluffy white one inch head that lasts. Thin lacing all the way down the glass. Cool painted bottle.(yeah I know the bottle doesn't factor in, but it's still kind of cool.)

Smell is outstanding !! Really vibrant grapefruit and pine. This is fresh.

Tastes like it smells. The citrus is out in front with this one. Heavy on tart grapefruit with just a little pine bitterness

Nice full feel

Overall this may have been one of the best citrus forward IPA's that I have ever had !
Freshness really does make a difference ! There is a vibrancy to this beer that the freshness brings. And the 9.4 ABV ? Oh Yeah ! These folks at Stone Brewing are a bunch of mad scientists that "get it " . If you are looking for the living embodiment of the phrase "respect beer, look at this one.

About 2 weeks after bottling and it's amazing. Smell is fantastic - floral and citrusy. Very smooth and clean. Surprised it's such a high alcohol content. Best DIPA I've had so far.
