A late night review from the Stone brewery. A welcome nightcap indeed.

Pours a deep, dark copper/amber color with a one-finger off-white head that leaves behind some trace elements of the lacy stuff. Lots of bubbles here, keeping the head alive; good to see. The nose is light and fruity with an abundance of what I perceive as strawberries. Malted strawberries, that is. Some candied sugar and some faint caramel in the nose as well. A very distant orange scent. The taste pretty much follows suit, but contains more of a hop presence than the smell. Fruity up front, with some mellow sweetness, but the hops kick in soon after and provide much of the middle and end to this tasty treat. Mouthfeel is solid, but nothing special, with a dry finish.

Another good beer from the folks at Stone, although I wouldn't call this one great. I like this, and will gladly drink it again in the future, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best pale ale I've ever had. Nothing about it really stands out and cries for attention. Still, it's a nice beer. Try it if you haven't yet.

A- Cloudy medium copper color with minimal head and very little lacing.

S- Not a very powering scent if any at all. Smells very light with some minor citrus and hop. I really had to get close and smell several times to come up with something.

T- Light on the hop flavor yet nice, very subtle malt and some very light citrus flavor. Doesn't strike me as a very powerful APA. Extremely light tasting but very good.

M- Very light and light body. Light carbonation.

D- First Stone's beer I have tried. Extremely drinkable. Goes down very smooth and very innocent. Not much to it!

Was looking forward to trying this beer. Overall it is a great beer. Would go very well with a piece of white fish or poultry. Very simple and taste very good. I will for sure buy this again and or order it if ever on tap. I definitely recommend trying it. Could almost pass for a lager.

Pours a clear copper with a big fluffy head that forms into a thin ring around the glass. Spotty lacing throughout. Floral hop aroma with some pale bready malts in the background. Taste is similar with full malt flavor up front with a nice hopped finish. Seems pretty balanced. Medium bodied.
