I remember drinking Woot Stout with my father, but I forgot that the beer is brewed with pecan. Crafted with wheat, rye, and aged in bourbon barrels, Woot Stout is a specialty Imperial Stout.

The scents of pecan and bourbon are felt upon your nose as you drink. The aromas of rye and vanilla is light, but comes through if you concentrate on the smell alone. The bourbon barrel aging gives off a vanilla flavor. The presence of the rye adds a sour complexion of the body of the beer.

The rich taste of molasses is noted right out of the gate. The flavor of the bourbon compliments the thick molasses. The vanilla presence is emboldened upon the bourbon.

The texture of nuts are felt and that's the pecan that we experience. As you pay more heed to the pecan, the taste is there from start to finish. The wheat is recognized along with the nutty feel of the beer. The flavor of caramel is noted alongside the bourbon characteristic.

Woot Stout is an impeccable Imperial Stout. The complexity is like a whirlwind; I'd rather enjoy this instead of decipher it. A collaboration between three brewmasters, Woot Stout exemplifies why Stone is on the map. I would compare this beer to the same quality as a Belgian Ale. I wish this beverage was not an archival product and dusted off now and then. If you find it, it's a treasure.

Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer.

Pours a deep, dark brown color with a moderate brown head that recedes quickly. Minimal lacing.

Aroma kicks you right in the nose, then jams you're fingers up there to add insult. I wouldn't call the aroma offensive, as it's a bit pleasant after the initial shock. It's very distinctive, and a bit harsh. Heavy on booze, roasted malts, and nuts. Dark chocolate and roasted coffee.

Taste follows the nose, with a thick, creamy complex mixture of roasted nuts, coffee, and heavily roasted malts. Booze actually takes a surprising backseat here, not nearly as prevalent as it was in the aroma.

Medium bodied, very thick, creamy, and boozy. This one is pretty dangerous, leaving me buzzed but not yet tired of it after one bomber.

Overall, this beer is an experience if nothing else. I like it, but I could see it being polarizing. A big beer with a strong aroma and complex taste, definitely worth a try.

Pours jet black with rich tan head and decent lacing. Smells of dark chocolate, liquorish, rye, and bourbon. The taste is very deep with a blast of rich bourbon soaked chocolate with raisins, some oat, dark liquorish, and a little smoke. There is a alcohol bite to this one but short lived, more intense flavors as this one warms, very nice winter beer by the fire, well done. Finish is medium to full with a light burn but leaves you taking another sip.

A triumph of brewing. This beefy stout from the growler via Jungle Jim's Eastgate
pours a rich dark coal black with a nice head of medium brown foam that subsides to
a thick ring, thin light pool, and showcases light lacing. Nose of dark bakers chocolate,
subtle vanilla, moderate char, bourbon, woodsy oak, light nutty notes, and coffee.
Flavors---wow. Excellent notes of dark chocolate and dark coffee touched with toffee
and meandering lightly with nutty notes from a pecan plantation that are roasted and
far from overpowering. Warming bourbon eases in with vanilla and oak and sweet bourbon
notes that are balanced without overpowering with touches of roasted marshmallows
over light notes of char. Again that note of balance. Excellent mouth feel; low carbonation, full
body, lightly warming, and light slick with a sweet toffee and lightly nutty boozy finish.

A stout lovers dream. One of the best stouts I have tried in years. A winner and worthy of
cellar aging for a few years to come.

Excellence. Period.

Very dark appearance with nice tan head that dissipates over time. Aroma is an obvious bourbon sweet. Taste is also a bourbon sweet with very little alcohol aftertaste. Nice addition to the Stone arsenal.

Poured from tap into sniffer small tan head persists with good lacing. Jet black in the glass. Smells of roasted malt, slight nuttiness and faint trace if bourbon. Taste is sweet roasted malt, pecan, vanilla some chocolate. Slightly sweet finish, small amount of alcohol peeking out. Great creamy mouthfeel.
