Poured from the bottle into a Dogfish Head Ale glass.

Real nice looking IPA, bronze shimmering body color and crystal clear with slow rising carbonation. The body is capped with and off tan supper soapy head, three fingers tall that just wont budge. It looks like a classic aggressive IPA.

Nose hits with large tropical warmth. Mango, guava, giant tropical rush with some juicy fresh blood orange. A good little hint of green herbal bitterness rounds it out. The brew is all hop forward, not sensing much coconut but there are no complaints here, as it is an aggressive but very enjoyable hop slamming brew for a bouquet

Palate brings the hop action. Huge oily sticky resiny presence that coats everywhere. Light toasty warmth. Lots of hop resin oils that stick out on the finish, taking away much of the fruity character that's present at first on the nose. Very bitter, almost borderline but still quite tolerable for feel. Malt presence is virtually nil, but finally as the brew warms there is coconut on the aftertaste and a hint of coconut cream.

The brew gets better as you drink it, and it's quite fun. Enjoyable take, seems like there's room for improvement, but not much needed.

Pours clear amber with a thick white head.

Smells very hoppy with some slight fruitiness

Tastes- Super hoppy and piney. There is a very slight hint of sweetness that usually isn't in IPAs but it didn't taste like coconut at all to me.

Mouthfeel- Mediuk body with high carbonation. Very refreshing mouthfeel.

OVerall- Not an IPA guy but this is probably the best one I can remember having,

this ipa definitely has a sweetness in the nose. the taste is very hoppy, i wouldnt expect anything less since it has "stone's" name on the bottle. there is a slight sweetness that comes along for the ride. which makes it a little different from other big hoppy ipa bombs out there. i think that if you are a stone fan this beer wont let you down. i like a good beer that fights back a little, makes you feel like you just did something.
