This place is a huge draw for us. We even started looking for property in Escondido for the long alaskan winters. One day...

Being our second or third visit, I figured we'd review it.

We arrived for lunch, was seated outside, immediately. Just beat the lunch crowd. Tables filled up quickly after we were served our first beers.

The beer menu is so vast that it's hard to figure out what to order first. So we go into it with the beer dinner mentality. We start with something refreshing, something that gets the appetite going. I had the Cali-Belgique, I can't remember what Tim ordered first...sorry.

We started with the Really Soft & Stinky Cheese Plate. This was great! Just as the name states. Really stinky...and sticky and pretty damn good.

We ordered a bottle of Unibroue's Quatre Centieme. Went great with the cheeses. We are cheese lovers, especially of stinky cheeses, but there was one on the plate that was just outrageous. We ate most of it, enjoying the funk and strangeness of it, but it's not one that I would search out. Unfortunately they don't give you a list of the cheeses and they change often. The last time we were there we asked the chef for the cheese line up, but this time it was just too busy to bother anyone for that sort of thing.

Tim ordered the mac & beer cheese. I ordered the Spinach Salad. The salad was great, as far as salads go. Tim's mac and beer cheese was good too. He couldn't eat it all, so we had the rest to go. He ordered the Craftsman Oktoberfest to go with his meal. I was still nursing the Unibroue bottle.

So far service, food and beer are exceptional.

We ended the meal with a Mexican spiced mocha each. Too full for any real dessert. This hit the spot. Even on a fairly hot day (well hot for us anyway)

Wandered around the gardens after, took a bunch of pix.

This is a great place that offers so much. I wish I lived next door. Great bottle menu, great draft menu, they serve more than their own beers. The food menus are creative and they have a knack for using local, fresh, organic (when they can) ingredients.

We bought a growler of the Cali-Belgique and a growler of IPA, 4 tasting glasses, two pint glasses, a t-shirt and a hat as we walked out thru the store.

Can't wait til our next trip to San Diego!

Took the 6pm tour while traveling for business. Tour was pretty basic but it's worth it just to see the awesome facilities. Was a little dissapointed in the tasting glass as opposed to the full size pint glass offered with many tours elsewhere.

Didn't have time to stay and eat but the menu looked good (if a bit pricey). Garden area looks awesome and would definitely go again and make time for lunch/dinner if I'm ever in the area again.

Stone was first favorite brewery. I loved Stone so much I made a trip out to San Diego just to visit a few of their locations. I thoroughly enjoyed being out in San Diego and checking out their spots. The only thing I didn't like was the beer selection. That part seems so unfortunate. They definitely had good beers at each spot, but were also missing some great ones that I was eager to try. I figured what better place to get their beers than the actual source. With that being said I would still not hesitate to go back to any Stone location in the future.

A must visit for beer lovers in San Diego! Basic tour, but be on the look out as we ran into the owners on our tour. Overall fantastic place.

The outdoor beer garden in Escondido is amazing. Whenever I have visitors, this is on the "Best of" San Diego lists to see.

One of my top favorite breweries!!! I love the selection of great craft beers at the World Bistro in Esco! They have amazing beer festivals and anniversary parties. The food at the Bistro is so good - and pairs with the beers perfectly. I highly recommend enlightening yourselves!!

Cool venue. Nice patio. Been there twice. They have Vegan options! An alternating seasonal menu. Although I had actual stones in my dish, twice, the food was great! Went on a tour which was fun and busy. Not a fan of IPA'd though.

The outside garden is one of a kind...the kind of place you dream about being while enjoying a beer that you can't get anywhere else. Classic and rare Stone offerings. Food wasn't anything I'd run back for, but the environment and beer is like no place I've ever been. Bottom line...amazing...but a little too expensive.
