The outside garden is one of a kind...the kind of place you dream about being while enjoying a beer that you can't get anywhere else. Classic and rare Stone offerings. Food wasn't anything I'd run back for, but the environment and beer is like no place I've ever been. Bottom line...amazing...but a little too expensive.

I've been looking forward to coming here since they open. My wife and I had the Cerviche appetizer and ordered the Duck Tacos and Xian Lamb for dinner. Both dishes were very good. And, of course, the beer was awesome. Had the 20th Anniversary Encore Series: Stone 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial and a Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0. Worth the wait!

All things considered, this is the strangest brewery we've been to, and we've been to Rogue. There is virtually no signage on exterior of building, like they don't want you to know about their secret garden built of its exotic plants and hand-constructed stone arch bridges hidden within. You enter and there is large dark room with a massive stone in the middle of the floor - clever and conceited. Behind it sits a sprawling merchandise store, complete with growler station and bottles to go.

With reservations we were seated for Friday lunch outside, and waited for a long while before we were greeted. Service was decent and quick enough after the initial lull. Oddly enough, there were only 18 Stone beers on tap, and 90% of them are distributed back home in MN in some form. They have a grand selection of guest taps and bottles though!

Food was the best part, hands down. Unbelievable, globally inspired cuisine. After paying we grabbed more brews from the slick outside bar and walked around the gardens. Very pretty, with astro turf, man-made water features and the aforementioned bridge missing chunks of stone here and there. And like the food here, the gardens were obviously inspired by faraway exotic places like China and Disneyland.

The inside is gorgeous and the merch store is fantastic, but with the small Stone beer selection, hidden signage, poor service and eccentric garden, I have no doubt that we'll never be back here again.

The food choices in the bar were a bit more fancy than I would want from a brewery. Really nice grounds and awesome guest beer selection.

Having recently moved to Los Angeles, I knew it wouldn't be long before I visited Stone down in Escondido. Although a different experience than I had anticipated, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Loads of merch to choose from at the store; anything from T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats, to limited and wide-release batch beers, hot sauces, cookbooks, beer soap, and more! The tour itself was fairly uneventful however very informative. For the amount of beer that they brew, Stone has an incredible amount of brew kettles in a comparatively small space. So, while there wasn't a ton of space to walk through, the guide was very informative, funny, and made it worthwhile. In addition to this, for $3.00 (which all goes to charity), you get the tour ticket as well as a 4-beer flight (of 4oz pours). Definitely worth the trip, unfortunately didn't have time to visit the Bistro, but I will definitely be returning!

Wow, what a great place for food and beer! The selection of on-tap Stone beers is a bit limited and disappointing, given the breadth of their offerings, but there’s a long list of world class beers available in bottles in case they are needed. Innovative gourmet food menu. Multi-faceted environments. Friendly service. Excellent venue. Go if you can.

Wasn't what I was expecting. Not your typical local brewery. Felt like I was in Temecula wine tasting. Nice place nonetheless. Had a Mikkeller on tap and citrusy wit. Good service and decent vibe, if it's your crowd.

The place itself is one of the most beautiful breweries you can go to. Big open hanger doors, even bigger garden with water features, picnic areas, the whole shebang. Gets extremely crowded and difficult to move through the restaurant, and takes some time to order or receive food or drinks occasionally. Nice company store and tasting room. Parking can be miserable too, unless you go valet. Every beer lover should visit this place at least once if possible though. Cheers!

My trip here was fun, interesting, and too short. I finally found the the brewery, after google sent me to the packaging plant. BTW the Brewery/ Bar is next door. Guess the founder does not care for signs, at least that is what was told to us on the brewery tour. The brewery tour was informative and not much to see. Got to sample 4 beers afterwards, a nice plus, if you ask me. I took a flight at the bar and tried some offering that I cannot get at a local store. I order some food. Now the reason for the lower score on the food is the price point to just a tad high for the quantity of food. I do realize I was in North San Diego and everything is high. But a couple bucks cheaper would have made more sense, at least to me. (I work in and around the food industry and have for almost 20 years). I felt what I got was between an appetizer and entree. The food was good and inventive. The server put crime and punishment hot sauce on the counter, that did add a nice accompaniment to meal. Overall my experience was positive. I will go back, may not for something to eat, but the beer, for sure.
