2014 bottle.
Very slight fizz on opening of bottle. The beer pours like a syrup and is pitch black. Very little head formed but what did was a light caramel color.
The smell is amazing. Everything from bourbon, barrel, vanilla, dark fruits and chocolate. Some coffee as well. This one is strong smelling. Almost leaves a burn in the back of your throat on a deep breath.
The taste is like the nose. This is so well balanced. So many layers of different flavors just all bouncing off of each other.
The feeling is a little thin on the carbonation side but still held enough not to be flat. Turns dry pretty quickly while the flavor stays.
Overall, wow, I'm happy I got to try this. This was a treat. A great brew that has so many dimensions and layers. Thanks Scott!

Much thinner and sweeter than regular BA Plead with heavy dark fruits and a rum like sting and a touch of plastic.

355ml bottle poured into tulip 22/10/14, big thanks to alfie for a pair of these
A black right out of the bottle, dark liquid no doubt there, a short lived finger of mocha foam leaves a couple random patches and some color left on the glass after a swirl
S marshmallow, vanilla, not the same levels of bourbon the regular BBPT5 but that still leaves plenty, lots of fudge, a little charred wood, not all that far off the regular version
T lots of char and bourbon, a hint of dried dark fruit, not getting the nutmeg and coconut I picked up on the regular BB version but then again I didn't drink them side by side, not quite the intensity the namesake but still great tasting stuff
M thick no doubt, heavy tannins I don't remember this much grit from the BBPT5 but I don't mind, a little heat, not as sticky, bubbles still cream it up nicely, no real complaints here
O great brew but I think I preferred the original even though I'm not really clear on the difference, maybe I was in a better mood yesterday and scored this lower, who knows?
I really don't know why I didn't drink this side by side with the PT5 and BBPT5, as luck would have it alfie was nice enough to give me some multiples so I'll be cracking all 3 at the same time somewhere down the line.
