2014-11-23 -- review entered from notes.
12oz bottle poured into a little plastic hotel cup. No date that I could find on the bottle. Lots of sediment caked on the bottom.

Pours translucent brown with little head -- some carbonation. Smell is roasty malt and coffee, a little toffee. Lots of coffee.

Taste is coffee and syrup, slight smoke. Caramel.

Mouthfeel is light but a little oily. Overall, it's not bad. My wife and I agree that there's nothing outstanding or offensive about it.

OK, traded my friend for this one. Here goes:

A: Not good or bad. Pours a huge head that leaves a ton of lacing on the glass. However, the beer is pours a cloudy brown that doesn't look too nice.

S: Very nutty coffee smell. Caramel malt, nuts, coffee grinds, etc. Somewhat off, however, as there appears to be some sourness in the background.

T: Good, taste rather follows the smell. Sweet, nutty taste with bitter coffee and caramel.

M: Glides down the tongue rather nicely, but I've tasted more filling beers at the same ABV.

O: A good beer. Probably won't be getting again, though.
