Aroma spicy hops
Cloudy amber
Minimal head
Flavor hoppy but enough malt to balance. Hint of roasted flavor in malt.

Tasted head to head with founders centennial. This is more complex and slightly preferable to me.

This is a really good IPA. This stood out at a brew fest I attended yesterday. Try it if you can find it.

Pours amber. Short, foamy, off white head fades fast.

Smells citrus, caramel malt, orange and fruity.

Tastes orange, fruity, citrus peel, caramel malt, candied feet and touch of pine. Finish is semi dry with a citrus peel linger. Medium body and fizzy medium carbonation.

Nice darker orange amber look with a slight white head. Piney and bready malts combine to make a slightly skunk scent. Slight caramel malt and citrus flavors dominate the flavor. Not overpowering and the malt and hops blend fairly well with this brew. Thicker mouthfeel with a bit less carbonation from tap.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice gentle rolling red to orange color with a nice one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some nice foamy lacing that tried to stick but it slid into the beer. The smell was a gentle somewhat sharp bitter citrusy hops that let some light caramel malts enter in as it warmed. The taste was mainly bitter through the hops and it had nice sharp bitter citrus aftertaste that led to a nice dry finish. On the palate, it sat about a light to medium in body and displayed a fairly sessionable quality about it. The carbonation was nice and sharp for an AIPA. Overall, I say this was a pretty good AIPA well worthy of having again.

Some good descriptions already posted so not going to break it down further. Really not as complex as other IPAs I've had. Malty, murky, muted aroma. Maybe their double is more defining. In short, nice IPA but nothing exceptional.
