From the growler via Jungle Jim's in Fairfield. This mighty fine stout pours a
deep and muddy blackish brown with a thin cola highlight and a nice layer
of tan foam that subsides to a thick ring and light pooling layer with nice
lacing. Nose of rich dark java, sweet cream, bitter dark cocoa, and char notes.
Flavors follow the nose with car laden bitter roasted coffee, rich dark bakers chocolate,
and a sweet cream note with hints of toffee. Very nice mouth feel; full body, light
carbonation, and a sweet char laden finish.

A favorite of mine during the winter months, although I am convinced it would make
for a fine summer sipper. An excellent stout from an excellent brewery.

Cheers

An expresso and chocolate aroma when opened and poured. A deep dark color. The taste was quiet excellent, much better than expected. The taste of coffee and chocolate lingered on the palate, which was quite pleasing. The feeling was quite good as well. A nice stout that would be worth having again.

Creamy , little bit of chocolate.

Nice chocolate head but faded quickly with minimal lacing..

This beer is thin but its a regular stout not imperial so that's to be expected.. This beers quality is above its price point for sure..

Would drink again.

This woody, smoky tasting black beer is amazing. There is a nice brown head that fades quickly but tosses up aromas of smoke, licorice, raisins and sweet roasted malt. The flavor is a little smoky and oaky with chocolate, coffee and sweet raisins and a nice roasty flavor. Read through some reviews and agree with some mint flavors as well. Low bitterness and a creamy mouthfeel. Awesome beer.

This pours pours a simple black with a small, quickly dissipating head. The aroma features milk chocolate, cocoa, raisin, plum, and a hint of menthol. The flavor is lead by mild roasty malts, with chocolate, coffee, chicory, licorice, mint, and raisin. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a quick finish. Overall this is a nice little beer - not too complex, but with a genial combo of flavors, more complex than most cream stouts.
