on tap at khyber

Pours a deep orange color with golden hues. Thick froth of white head bubbles up, retaining for a bit before dissolving into patchy lacing and film.

A snap of floral hops in the nose with orange peel and citrusy notes. Bready biscuit notes with grain. Faint sweetness.

Orange peel and citrus with a soft hop presence. Grain and biscuit malts with a touch of lemongrass. Soft bread malt backbone with a light sweetness. Finishes quick and refreshing on the tongue.

Lighter medium body, well carbonated, crisp and smooth on the palate. This is a really nice quaffer - perfect for the summer and well balanced.

Love the label, being a Polack from Michigan who's grandfather drank Carlings Black Label in the red can I can appreciate the label.True to the label this is nowhere near a German Kolsch it pours more of a burnt orange color with a thinner white head atop.Aromas are much more to style with lightly toasted grain and some mild floral hops.the flavors are not as delicate as the style goes but I really like them with some lightly toasted grain, light fruit, and quite a shot of leafy hops in the back end,it's pretty refreshing like a true Kolsch. It's different and the meaning behind the beer is pretty cool, something to drink while grilling or watching a game.

On tap at the Blind Pig Brewery in Champaign, IL

A: Pours a clear golden yellow color. A two finger white head forms with good retention. Sticky spiderweb looking lace is left behind.
S: Toasted, pale, and bready malts. Light hops. A kiss of floral and grassy hops. Lightly sweet. Simple but very nice.
T: At first toasted and bready malts. A slight caramel sweetness. A bit more hops than in the nose. Finishes slightly bitter with a crisp grassy and lemony twang.
M/D: A light to medium body. Crisp, clean and refreshing. Very easy to drink. All day with this one.

This is very simple, but very nice. Pretty much spot on for the style. Something I really enjoyed and would recommend.

Had on tap at Crunchy's in East Lansing.

A: Pours a hazy light orange with a finger of off-white head.

S: Pale malt aroma and some grass.

T: Crisp and clean hop bitterness followed by some bready malt and a hint of honey.

M: Light body with good carbonation.

O: A nice lighter beer.
