I had a 330ml bottle. I let the bottle warm up quite a bit so I could savour the aromas and flavours.
Appearance : rich dark clear tan colour. Nice big offshore head. Looks very appealing.
Aroma: dark caramel malts and high alcohol presence.
Flavour : rich caramel toffee and golden syrup flavours as a result of letting it warm up a bit. Alcohol heat coming through. Very full bodied mouth feel. Low carbonation consisted with the dark ale style. Mild bitter finish and lingering caramel flavours are nice.
Overall : very good beer. Brewer reckons left it warm up, sip & savour after dinner and that is what I am doing. Different but enjoyable.

A- puts nicely looking rich with decent head and lacing. S- caramel, malt and syrup aroms make for a pleasant aroma. T- first few drinks out of the fridge were very nice with malty sweetness but with a hint of bitterness coming through at the end. As the beer warmed, and it is supposed to be not overly chilled, the alcohol came through more strongly and I enjoyed it less towards the end. M- good carbonation and my only issue was the alcohol feel in the mouth. O- very tasty drop but definitely one to sip and one was plenty for me. Nice rich flavours but in the end the alcohol started to shine through and dominated mouthfeel. Not one I would have regularly but interesting enough to enjoy on a winters day I guess (I had it at the height of summer which probably isn't ideal).

A: Pours a typically dull dark brown body and leaves a ring of bubbles around the edges. An appearance I've learned to associate with delicious beer.

S: Pungent toffee apples, dates & prunes.

T: Full flavoured. Repeats the nose with a good level of sweetness. A good amount of citrus in there too. Fairly bitter aftertaste for a beer of this style, although it's still British in character (as opposed to hoppy and American).

M: Not very carbonated but just enough zing. Syrupy yet silky smooth, if that works. Last glugs are completely flat.

O: A nice beer. Thanks Ben for bringing it over.

Bottle: good brown 330mL bottle, good labels - reserved and somewhat classy.

Appearance: pours a clear, dark red-copper in colour with a solid beige head that settles to a handsome cap. Decent lacing down the sides of the glass.

Aroma: mostly dominated by a sweet caramel aroma and light roasted malts.

Taste: quite simple but elegant across the palate - brown sugar, caramel, roast chocolate and warming alcohol. Quite nice.

Aftertaste: a pungent sweetness comes through afterward which is a bit awkward.

Mouth feel: a medium- to- heavy body with just enough carbonation to bring those flavours through fully.

Overall: a pretty tasty scotch heavy, full in flavour across the palate. The only detractor is the typically way over-priced nature of most Australian craft beers - AU$133 for a case of 24 x 330mL bottles (2013).

A: Pours a deep mahogany color with a small tan head that fades fairly guickly with very little lacing.

S: Aroma of dark fruit, caramel sweetness and hint of alcohol.

T: Taste of dark fruit, some caramel sweetness, bit of chocolate and spice.

F: Fairly medium body, smooth and with a nice balance. Not real hint of the ABV.

O: Enjoyable sipper to enjoy at the end of the day.

330ml bottle. Pours a mid brown colour with a hint of ruby. Dense beige head which gradually settled and left lace rings down the glass. Aroma of prunes, molasses and burnt malt. Quite a sweet taste which develops into a touch of bitterness. Medium bodied with a syrupy mouthfeel and a gentle alcoholic warmth. OK but a little too syrupy for my liking.

A - Pours a dark molasses with a tan creamy head and spotty lacing.

S - Quite roasted malty, chocolate, brown sugar, plums, raisins, dried fruit.

T - Sweet chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit and molasses.

M - Smoot creamy body, dry and dusty with low to medium carbonation.

O - A really pleasant surprise this one. Tasty winter brew. Underrated in my view.

A - Poured a deep brown reddy colour that looked rather like syrup. Small beige creamy head that dissippates fairly quickly to a thin layer.

S - A very impressive aroma of dark sweet malts, chocolate and plums and raisins that is quite intense.

T - Very sweet and malty with the dark fruits fairly prominent but get a little chocolate and some caramel at the back end.

M - medium bodied and only a little carbonation although a little syrupy.

O - I was quite surprised by this and I love the dark fruit notes that shine through. A little syrupy but great when sipped slowly on a cold winters evening.

Smells of apple, pear and blackcurrent. Sweet chocolate flavours, some bitterness and burnt malt. Bold flavours mask the high alchol content well.. but I found it so cloyingly sweet, I couldn't actually finish drinking it. Sipping it alongside dinner seems to give the taste buds a break, but I don't think I would buy this one again.

Pours a red-brown - one finger head that dies. No Lace.

Aromas of brown sugar, honey, malt. Massive hit on nose. Good

Taste is sweetness and up-front malts, warmly alcoholic. Half way thru the bottle a hint of astringent bitterness crept in, this however passed by the end of the bottle. Go figure.

Creamy mouthfeel, I suspect due to ABV.

Overall, OK. Not as good as I had hoped.
