Visited in April 2017 for dinner and beer. Great vibe, as a comfortable, modern and welcoming Irish pub. The service was friendly and efficient and the waitress my group had was fairly knowledgeable of their beer. The beers we tried were fresh and well cared for. They beer selection was decent, but not huge;, but there were several interesting beers across multiple categories. The food was excellent and seemed freshly made and authentically Irish/British (I have lived in England and enjoyed the pubs there). They even had a very extensive list of Scotch and Irish whiskies, if you are interested in that. I travel to Albuquerque occasionally on business and I will definitely be back to enjoy the strong combination of atmosphere, food and beer.

A funny name for a place, since I could only account for one and he was visible in the mirror, looking out at me.

The vestibule opened at a slight angle to the left and there was a stained glass window of their logo of two interlocking fools in motley each blowing a horn, straight ahead. The inverted "L"-shaped hardwood bar was along the left wall and featured twenty (20) taps, all quality beers with only Harp, Guinness, Smithwick's, and Stella as the clinkers. There were around fifty (50) bottles available, but it was a real mixed bag of everything from BMC to Chimay, New Belgium, and Stone. Interestingly, the Two Fools Pale Ale seemed to have a tap handle from Maverick Machine Works. The back bar was an elaborate mirror and carved wood affair. There were high tables and stools in the center of the space with booths and high tables and chairs along the right wall. Continuing aft was a brick wall emblazoned with the Guinness toucan at the top and then heading aft to the lavatories. The waitstaff was reminiscent of the Flying Saucer locations - everyone was in kilts and knee-high black socks, although the kilts were of standard length. They even printed their own newsletter - "Foolish Times". Ha! The place was all supposed to be evocative of Ireland, but the Irish would die from the heat.

Two Fools stands out in the Knob Hill neighborhood in Albuquerque. Being so close to Kelly's and not having an outdoor seating area must hurt a little, but their food is way better! They have nearly 20 beers on tap, with none of the American mega-breweries listed. They have the expected Guinness, Harp, and Bass for an Irish-style pub. They also usually have a Stone beer, Monk's Ale (brewed by monks in northern NM), Stella Artois, Steam Engine Lager, etc. Their bottle selection is good but not great, and they mistakenly listed Killian's as an Ireland beer rather than the Colorado beer that it really is. They have all of the St. Peter's beers in bottles and some other nice microbrews. They have more than 20 (30?) varieties of scotch, broken down by geography (lowlands, highlands, and Islay). These are not nearly as overpriced as I have seen in other places. The waistaff was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit.
