Pours a dark brown almost black hue with a creamy tan three finger head that holds and leaves nice sporadic lacing, the smell is oats, dark fruits and a hint of chocolate, the mouthfeel is just medium bodied and overcarbonated with tastes of chocolate, cherry, dried dark fruits, oats and finished with a soft bittersweetness just like a sweet coffee and overall yeah it's average and I know they say it's a stout but to me it's more like a porter cheers.

Great, pitch black colour with a creamy, moderate sized tan head. Good head retention.
Acrid roast malt aroma with little else going on. Simply, dry and entirely enjoyable.
Light and dry roasted malt with some earthiness. Well balanced.
Medium-light body with moderately high carbonation. Fine.
A nice enough stout that's easy to drink but not all that complex.

Drank from my Duvel Tulip.
A - Pours the classic Ebony colour, with a tanned, two fingered head that disappears quickly.
S - Not much except some small roasted malts, maybe some subtle chocolate.
T - Nice smooth roasted malts with hints of expresso. The finish is a little bitter.
M - Full body and low carb.
O - Won't blow your socks off, but is a good example of the style.

Appearance - 4.5
Pours a large and dense tan head over black/very dark brown body with red highlights. Excellent head retention.
Smell - 3.5
Needed significant warming for aromas to develop - very smoky and sooty, big roasted malt presence, though not in any way acrid.
Taste - 4.0
A merest suggestion of toasted oats, though you have to really look for it. Significant bitterness from the roasted malt, no noticeable hop character. Tastes of (very) dark chocolate and plenty of smokey, sooty roasted malt.
Mouthfeel - 4.0
Fine and rather lively carbonation provides a silky mouthfeel, though the oats surely help too.
Drinkability - 3.5
Would make a decent winter session beer, I would certainly drink it again.
OVERALL
This is brewed by Mash for Red Bull, though I am not sure how widely it is currently sold. Regardless, a solid stout that I would like to be on-tap.
