This is a great bottle shop in Brugge and a must visit when in that city. I stopped by here prior to going to the Cambrinus which is two buildings down the street. Really great selection of Belgian beers and glasses. I purchased a westy 8 and my friend was able to score a 2 bottles of westy 12. We asked about a westy glass and a De Struise glass but he said he did not have them in stock and to check back tomorrow because he would call about them. we stopped the next morning and he had the glasses for us and was very friendly. Great service and selection plus they speak English really well here too.

Big selection of Belgian beers that are hard to find in the States and extremely low prices from an American perspective. I realize that American craft beers are difficult to find there so its a sort of symmetrical situation. Still we payed 35 euros for what I think would have ran around 100-150 in the US (if you could find some of this stuff at all). Nice busy vibe- got here early in the morning while shelves were being stocked. I had a lot of specific stuff I was looking for which I found. Staff seemed helpful but also left us alone to browse which was nice.

Easily accessible off the main square, De Biertempel is a small establishment that packs quite a bit in. Glassware was quite extensive; although they didn't have any Drie Fonteinen stemware, which was one of my reasons for stopping in. There were definitely some interesting gems (i.e. large format Black Damnation beers); however, nothing really rung my bell. Prices were a bit higher than the other stores I visited. That said, definitely worth a stop if you are in the city; however, I found the Bottle Shop to be far superior.

Small place in town, but a large selection. Prices are on the higher side, but not outrageous. Shelf lambics, trappist stuff, massive Belgian glassware collection, and other collectibles and merch. I ended up getting a couple glasses that I [surprisingly] didn't own yet, and a few simple bottles for the hotel. It's an easily accessible place, so you might as well check it out as you're strolling through town.

Yea, solid selection. But no clue why this is rated so highly. Had Fou Fone and other Cantillon on the menu (only €11.75 for Fou) but only Kriek and Rose actually in stock. Westy Blond and 8 also on menu and out of stock. Poor service overall. Food was below Chili’s level. Very disappointed. While for an American, drinking 2 Cantillons and a Westy 12 with lunch is awesome, these are all over the local shop shelves and there were no other things nice about this place. Stop in I guess, but better places to eat with a fine beer selection everywhere. Seriously this place is a major tourist trap ambiance.

Quite a bit smaller than it's Brussels sibling, and to be honest, the selection is just a fraction of what you'll find at the Brussels Biertempel.

I snagged a Horal's Tour de Gueuze, but as I suspected, if I had rolled the dice and waited to the Brussels portion of the trip I would have saved a few Euros. Decent selection of other "standard" lambics, but if you're like us and visiting Brugge prior to Brussels, you'd be advised not to pull the trigger on any of those Brussels-based beers prior to getting to Brussels.

The glassware selection is very solid - snagged one of those really fantastic De Dolle Oerbier wine glasses.

Probably the most consistent selection in Brugge, but not anywhere near as good as the Brussels location.

A great shop! Lots of bottles and good space. But many of the offerings seem to be readily available beers. They didn't seem to have anything rare and were light on sours. I also picked up a nice Rodenbach tin tacker for my pub room. Well worth a visit!

Just about the only beer shop I pop into and don’t buy a beer when in Brugge: just a tourist trap really, like the one in Brussels.

To be fair however it is bright and clean, always has a good display in the front windows and is full of beery souvenirs as well as bottles; both single and in presentation packs for the folks back home. Staff friendly enough.

Over priced in my opinion and caters for the occasional Belgian beer drinker, not a serious Belgian beer hunter.

If you want it, they got it. This place is amazing, great selection and reasonable prices. Well laid out with really good service.

Centrally located, we were able to get a few beers for the hotel room and a few rare beers to take home.

Cool shop where we can't wait to go here again.

Had a great time here. They are knowledgeable and friendly, and sold me a bunch of beer to ship back (including Westvleteren). I absolutely love the giant walls of beer and beer glasses. If I ever come back to Brugge this is the shop I would come to.

After an unsuccessful attempt to enjoy some Westvleteren beers at the abbey (it was closed), we decided to check out Brugge on the way back.. De Bier Temple is located within less than a five minutes walk from the city center. It isn't a big store in terms of square footage, yet if you're looking for fine Belgian beer and glassware, the selection is impressive.. they have a lot of beers that I wouldn't be able to find in Chicago, including Westvleteren.

The staff was extremely professional and friendly. We chatted with the cashier and browsed the selection for about ten minutes after the store had closed.. we had purchased six bottles of Westy 12, a Westvleteren chalice, and a bottle of Cantillon Gueuze 100% Lambic Bio.. all of these items were carefully wrapped and packaged for us.

All in all, I'm glad I stopped in De Bier Temple.. it's definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area.
