650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.2%. Black colour, large to moderate brown head. Nice aroma of mildly roasted malts and caramel malts, notes of coffee, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Silky smooth mouthfeel and flavour, like the name makes you anticipate, The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, with just the right sweetness, and sufficient hops in the finish. Very enjoyable and easy drinking.

Pours dark, appropriate head. Malty aroma. Surprisingly robust flavor, chocolate, a little yeast. Overall an ok porter. Note - this bottle is probably 4 years old.

The pour is a deep dark chocolate brown, propping up a creamy tan head. The nose is cocoa and toffee - I’m literally drooling.
The taste has the cocoa and toffee notes, but there’s also a black cherry component that is really nice. And excellent porter, IMHO.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into pint glass in July 2017. There was no bottled on date, and I drank it about 1 monthafter purchase.
Appearance: Very dark black with a very thick tan/brown head. Head is thicker than many other porters & stouts, and left a good amount of lacing on the glass.
Smell: Strong aroma of roasted coffee and toasted malts. There is some hint of sweetness from caramel, chocolate, and cocoa as well, but overall the roasted malts dominate the others. I do not get much hops aroma. There is a little earthy aroma, which I do not like.
Taste: The roasted malt flavor is pronounced. There is an interesting balance between the coffee, roasted malts, and some bitterness from hops. There is some chocolate and a little berry sweetness, with these and the bitterness enhancing the taste and adding some complexity. There is a medium alcohol presence.
Mouth-feel: Medium alcohol, but with a very smooth body, that is not too creamy.
This is a nice, complex porter, and it has a variety of flavors that adds a nice complexity to the beer. Although this is a medium-bodied porter, it is very smooth and enjoyable to drink.

This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a mostly black color with a nice two finger white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Some lace, slightly speckled. The aroma had some roasted malt, chocolate and coffee, slight smoke, slight brown sugar. The flavor blended the previously mentioned aromas together - roasty, sweet and subtle smoke. All leads into the aftertaste and bled into the finish. The feel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch above with a nice soft carbonation about it. ABV felt good. Overall, nicely done porter well worthy of having again.
