From Zombier. In Teku glass. Playing Pilgrim Academy. Pumpkin very noticeable, as well as a strong spicyness that doesnt bother at first but that in second pour it becomes a bit excessive. 66cl is too much, it should come in 33cl format. Nearly no foam when poured

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a St Bernardus goblet.

Head dissipates almost immediately. Tawny-ruddy clear.
Smells flat, sweet, and very spicy. The ginger and cinnamon leap out.
Taste is surprisingly thin and sour for a 8.4% beer. The spice isn't overwhelming, even if it dominates the flavor, it's a nice sort of touch. Not very sweet, but the gourdness that is there is welcome.
A decent pumpkin beer, but not very well-executed. Would try again if in the mood and hope for better results.

Poured to a nonic glass.

A: The body is copper coloured with a non-existent head. I've tried to pour hardly to create a head but no it showed no retention at all. No lacing either.
S: The aroma reminds me clearly of my mom's pumpkin sweet. Nothing else is present.
T: The taste is composed by the sweetness of malts connecting with the tons of pumpkin present here. I find the taste to be very 'in your face' since there's nothing else I can find here. But either way, it's a good taste profile.
M: The body is medium to medium low. Low carbonation. The bitterness in the after taste is mildly pleasing for a sweet beer.
O: It's the first pumpkin ale I drink that's been bottled. Only tried this style on draft. Kinda liking this.

First taste was a great mix of pumpkin and spice but the whiskey after taste was too much for me.

AROMA and TASTE have notes of cinnamon and apples. Whiskey aftertaste. One of the better pumpkin beers I've had, though hard to find. Did not make it for the 2015 tasting.
