Dark, full bodied yet not too heavy, goes down smooth with a hidden abv that has no burn whatsoever! Dark chocolate notes with not much coffee from I could taste, but went down smoothly and so tasty, I am never disappointed by Hoppin’ Frog’s beers!

A 22 fl. oz. bomber with no clear bottled on or best before date. Poured into a snifter glass.
Appearance: Dark brown to black in colour with pretty much no head and only sparse lacing.
Aroma: Roasty, chocolate, coffee, with some dark berries, and charred notes.
Taste: As you’d expect from the aroma, roasty, chocolate, coffee, molasses, charred oak, and light notes of dark fruit.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, full bodied, with soft carbonation.
Overall: A smooth sipper, but the charred notes were a little too distracting for me.

Bomber at my brother's. Black, silky pour, ring of brown around. Aroma is roasty, sweet and boozy. Tasteroasty, sweet. continues with sweet notes, perhaps a bit too sweet. Booziness continues into the taste, sweet, chocolate.

this is a real nice russian imperial stout, and it manages to be big and bold and meaty will also having a soft sweeter side to it, there’s a sweet and smokey charred wood and kind of flavour to it that’s really quite nice, standard big meaty unami malt flavour, black bread, dark chocolate, treacle, liquorice, raisin, eucalyptus, caramel, tobacco, bourbon, high bitterness on the finish, full bodied with low to medium carbonation, this is a real nice beer, massive yet not overwhelming, and very fun

Pours black with a modest, soft two finger head. Aroma is earthy, dark and woody. Taste is burnt, bitter, charcoal and a deeply roasted profile. There is a small hint of chocolate, though quite shy. The brew is moderate in body, low in carbonation and hides its' ABV well.

No canned date, BB date Dec 3, 2024. Poured at 58°. Fast fizzy dark tan head; no cap retention, ring nor lace; no legs. Nose is burnt wood and earthy hops. Entry is very strong burnt wood/chicory; bitter roast; bitter earthy hops; a little chocolate hiding underneath. Medium light body; thin silk feel; moderate minus carbonation; no warmth from 10.5% abv; very dry finish. Overall, too thin, too bitter, too hoppy, too dry…in short, too much and unbalanced; not an enjoyable RIS for me.

Shared 650 ml bottle at local tasting. Black colour, low brown head. Roasty and boozy aroma, notes of molasses, hints of oak. Rich flavour, balanced roasty notes, some molasses sweetness but not too much. Good stuff.

22 oz bottle. Had this a few weeks after BORIS.
Beautiful color and head. Super dark brown with rich colored head.
Nice aroma - slightly sweet, hints of the flavor to come.
Very delicious - excellent blend of sweet and very slightly bitter. Rich full mouthfeel.
Overall a very fine beer. A bit pricey, there are others just as good, or better, but still excellent.
