A: Clear yellow gold with 2 fingers of foamy, bubbly head. Lots of bubbles.

S: Fruit, grass, spices

T: Light malty flavor. Clean and refreshing. Real smooth pils.

M: A good amount of nice carbonation. Great tingle.

O: Another refreshing pilsner. Better than some I've had (recently).

500 ml bottle was poured into a pilsner glass

Appearance: The beer poured a two finger head and is a golden/straw yellow, with a shade of orange. Plenty of carbonation coming up through the glass. I remember that the head of beer was part of the culture in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Some lacing has been left on the side of the glass from the head reducing to a thin layer.

Smell: It's weird, this beer smells like a blond ale or honey ale even though it a pilsner. Honey and bready notes come to mind first. Followed by sweet malts, grainy notes, and some nice spiciness.

Taste: Same as above, but pretty mild. Wish the flavor was toned up a bit more. Nothing exceptional, but still a well balanced beer.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, a little chewy, easy to drink, medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, and easy on the palate.

Overall: This beer brings back memories of Prague/Praha and my time spent in Banska Bystrica. Now wish I could go back this winter for some snowboarding and apres board. There were was much better across the pond and the scenery and the culture made it exceptionally better. Wish I could find this beer more often.

The colour is yellow with a tint of gold (6 EBC), the liquid is clear. The three finger head is white and firm. It leaves lots of lacing when slowly sinking down.

The smell is smooth and very balanced. Sweet notes of honey, butter and fresh flowers. Clean bitter notes in the background, as is some cardboard.

The taste is smooth and very balanced, too. It is quit light. Some buttery notes, some flowers and grass. Mild bitter clean flavours, some sweet cookie-notes. The aftertaste got a slowly growing bitter flavour, more butter and a slight dry note. The finish is mild and balanced.

The carbonation is mild to medium, the small bubbles fresh. The liquid is semi-smooth.

A well balanced brew, perhaps a bit too smooth.

I bought one of these out of curiosity yesterday and was very impressed. This is a 'top-of-the-heap' example of what a lager should taste like.

It is very clear, the color of gold, has a nice dense white head that lasts and just the right amount of gassiness/effervescence.

The taste is right on the money too. You get the proper amount of malty sweetness balanced by a noticeable hop flavor with a just-right level of bitterness.

The classic label design leads you to believe that they know what they're doing and the bottle has gold foil covering the neck, the 'kiss your pinched fingers' final touch that lets you know that these guys have a lot of pride in their product. The labels says this brewery has been at it since the 1500's so they've had plenty of time to tweak their recipe and get it just right. And I believe they've done just that.

Brought a can of Krusovice Imperial home from a recent trip to Europe. The beer was golden cleal with foamy white head to start, which then faded. There was some initial lacing but eventually that ceased as well. The smell was malt and maybe a hint of some czech hops. The taste begins with a smooth malt taste that just stays throughout the whole taste. Mouthfeel was good had nice carbonation and was medium bodied....smooth. Overall was a good beer and would recommend it.

Drank in Prague

A: Pours a light golden-amber body with three fingers of white fluffy head. Retention is good, as is lacing.

S: Light notes of hops, sweet fruit, some earthiness and spice.

T: Following the aroma, the flavour was full of nice hops and malts. Some fruit and spice followed behind, but it was very light. It still retained that clean pilsener taste.

M: Light bodied with medium-high carbonation. The texture was froathy, with a nice dry hop finish.

O: I really enjoyed this beer and probably had about 24 of these during my trip. Definitely a worth beer to try out.

A: The beer pours a pale golden straw color with a short lived white head.

S: Corn and skunk to start things off with a bit of sugar and candy. There's a light vegetal note as well as some garbage and sulfur. Somewhat grainy with a bit of grass and straw.

T: Quite sweet with some sulfur and corn. Grain husks and grass with a definite astringency. There's a light bitterness to it as well as some very mild hop notes. Only a mild skunkiness.

M: Light to medium in body with a medium level of carbonation.

O: Sweet and grainy. Not really my cup of tea.

Appearance: Out of 1 pint .9 ounce bottle pours a golden pilsner with about two fingers worth of head on top.

Aroma: Nice floral hops towards the front with a bit of dryness in the nose. Grainy malts in the middle along with a little bit butteryness. At the back is a little bit of citrus.

Taste: Crisp mouthfeel with a buttery texture. Floral hops all around this beer. Hints of grain top it off rather well. In the end is a good but sublte dry finish.

Notes: This one is very good and well rounded a good one to pick up. Cheers.

This beer pours a dark golden color with a hefty cap of foam. The aroma is doughy malt with a touch of grassy hops. On the palate the flavor is sweet while still managing some husky grain. A little bitterness at the end. Smoother than some other beers that I have had from eastern Europe.

I run a bar and I brought this beer in before ever having it. This was defintily one of the best czech pils I have ever had. Very crisp and clean with nice carbonation. If you want to taste a great beer definitly pick this one up. Was able to buy this bottle individualy for $1.25 a bottle and its worth every penny and more.

Golden amber apperance with foamy white head that slowly disappears. Smell is sweet, with a hint of grain, decent hops and vanilla.

Taste is a good blend of malt, grain and bread. Picked up a hint of citrus and vanilla as well. Cream, light bodied with moderate carbonation. Has a lingering bitter and malty aftertaste.

Overall, this is a refreshing and inoffensive beer. Nothing that stands out, but that's what makes it drinkable.
