Went to dinner after the Super Bowl and the place was a ghost town.

Food was great - I had the BBQ chicken pizza - and beer selection was respectable. They had about a dozen in-house beers on tap, along with your standard BMC/Sam Adams/SNPA. The bottle list included a good variety of craft beer and imported Belgians.

I had the Abbey Normal, an "American-style dubbel". It was very bready and didn't have muc Belgian yeast character. It was still a solid 3 though.

For the food and beer, at these prices, you can't go wrong.

Huge place, awesomely decorated. Cool that it is by the southridge mall, this way the old lady(s) can go shopping and I can get my drink on! Firkin & wolf across from it and BW3 makes it like a little dude alcove of beer & pub grub.

Love the massive tv over the big bar. Tvs placed appropriately all around. Love the nuvea metal decor, everything doesn't have to be some cliche attempt at a UK style pub. Got right in for dinner around 5:30 on a Thursday night, no wait.

Quality is legit. Can't go wrong with Pihrana, the hefe is way better than average, stout is good, nitwit, sure. Nothing is terrible (although I wouldn't recommend the BMC-esque kolsch). Service, always friendly, not the biggest beer geek knowledge types though, blessing and a curse. Good selection of stuff, I think they had about 16 of their own beers on tap. Decent bottle list, nothing fancy.

Pizza is always good here, although they seem to skimp more lately on the toppings. We had this chicken thingee pizza, and there was one piece that had all of 1 piece of chicken on it, otherwise, was just cheese?

Would recommend. They make the best IPA in Nevada.

This place was massive. The restaurant and bar are a big square square area with high ceilings and a very commercial atmosphere. It's located in a big mall area, next to a big highway US-395, surrounded by huge parking lots. *Definitely* points off on atmosphere. At the rear of the dining area is a massive reddish faux depression-era mural of an agro-industrial-mining tablau - whoa. Behind the bar is a massive 6-screen TV display with 4 screens devoted to a ball game and side screens for ESPN etc.

The beer offerings were a Blonde Ale, Pirhana PA, Imperial Brew (availability unknown), Jeremiah Red, Harvest Hefewiezen, Nutty Brew-nette. Seasonal were Nit Wit (witbier) Whiskey Barrel Stout, Tempest IPA, and Cherry-Burst Cider. Guest taps were Sierra Nevada Summerfest, Guinness, Stone IPA, no cask was available. I had the Tempest IPA, and it was OK, good enough to merit a 2nd glass.

The wait-person behind the bar was cheery, but she pushed the product a bit too hard. The bruschetta was good, but slow on delivery. Overall, this is a place I could have passed on without missing much.

If you have been to one BJ's you have been to them all. I will try to point out what is different about this one. The interior decor package is a little different than some others and it seems a little more warm and inviting. They brew beer at this BJ's.
This one is really busy, at the busy time for lunch and dinner there is almost always a wait. On Fri. and Sat. nights the wait can be an hour or even longer. Right across the way is a Buffalo Wild Wings, one can put their name in at BJ's and go to Wild Wings for a drink and some wings as the bar area at BJ's will be crazy. The only other thing is the staff here is super friendly and attentive.

BJ's

When we were looking for this Brewery/Restaraunt, I did not know what to expect. As we pulled into the parking lot, my first impression was "this looks like an over priced yuppy hangout there to just sell average beer." But I was pleasantly surprised.
We walked in, and immediately was taken back by the awesome decor and immediate service. (still looked overpriced...)
We were taken to a table, seated, and a very cute waitress proceeded to blow me away with the knowledge level of their beer and the history behind their brewery. I shot several questions at her and she was awesome. I ended up drinking several pints of the Pirhana Ale (a Hop Heads delight) along with sharing the sampler platter with my wife. We were there mainly for the beer, but the menu was extensive, and reasonably priced.
All in all, it was a very good experience, very good food, and a great place to throw back a beer.
And it is always fun to say... Cheers to BJ's!!!

Stopped here while on a business trip to Reno. I had the steak, my coworkers had the pork chops and a salad. I thought the food was pretty good.

As for the beer, it was good as well. I had the Piranha Pale Ale and the Harvest Hefeweizen and both were solid. My coworker had the berry cider and enjoyed it as well.

It was easy to get to, only a ten minute wait (we went on a Tuesday night), lot's of people drinking cocktails at the bar. The service was great and all the waitstaff was very knowledgeable about the beer selection.
