L: Pours a clear dark brown color with a top off beige head and nice and sticky lacings on the sides.

A: Aroma is off caramel, bread, plums, dried dark fruits and licorice.

T: Has a rich malty start with fruity tones , and a sweet and bitter finish with notes of licorice ,aftertaste is a little weak and dissappear a little quick.

M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation and a soft creamy mouthfeel.

O: A nice, tasty and easydrinking dubble, definitely a beerstyle i enjoying. Would sure try it again.

Purchased at Lekkerbier. Reddish brown color; head quickly dissipates to a thin film with some lacing. Moderate carbonation with a pleasant spiciness that I can't quite identify. Good stuff...Worth a repeat buy.

Almost opaque dark brown color, with a copper hue, and storming activity. Slightly frothy light brown 2-3 finger head, lasting around 10 minutes, with faint lacing. Flavors of black liquorice, dark grains, plums, cherries, peach, herbal spices. Thick sugary feel of dark fruits with slightly bitter roasted malts. Slick and smooth almost full body with crispy carbonation. Strong finish, a little dry and vinous, lingering ester fruits, leafy spices, and a strong presence of liquorice. Lacks freshness being a little metallic. Feels a bit like a port, would serve this as an appetizer being very sweet. Good flavors, but nothing amazing, yet the aftertaste is quite nice. Overall good quality craft.

Strong nose prompted my wife to think I had opened some cheese. Very yeasty smell, and a deep, dark brown color with creamy head. Fruity (raisins) character with a little bit of sour thrown in. A good dubbel, but not the best...

Color dark brown, almost black.
Head huge but short-lived.
Delicately floral aroma of ginger with a big question mark, hard candy, caramel, coffee faint accents.
The taste is intense caramel, plums, delicate acidity like fruit, and coffee bitterness in the finish. Beer quite pleasant with well hidden alcohol.
It lacks body and maybe a little too saturated, but generally I recommend them.
