Well, a lager anyway, but this is really good, it has a flavor on it, and not just water with bubbless. I have to admit is not the best one in Costa Rica, but was not that far. It has a great foam, and great flavor, not strong, but it has.THe can is silver coloured, like a medall, so you can colect the three of them.

I just returned from my second extended visit to Costa Rica and picked-up a six pack of this one at the Sky Liquor store in Santa Cruz.
The beer pours a pale yellow with a large but quickly collapsing head.
The nose is of a bit of grain and some floral hop notes. Not strong enough, but not bad.
This is not a bad tasting light beer. There is a bit of grain (corn) taste and the hops add a nice bit of astringency. Seems well balanced. A bit of fruit late.
The mouth is a bit thin, but the excellent carbonation moves the score to average. This is an easy drinker, but go for a Pilsen or a Bavaria Gold instead.

Bottle: Poured a light golden yellow color lager with a small bubbly head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma consists of light adjunct with minimal residual sugar. Taste is also quite bland with light corn adjunct notes with a smooth finish. Another boring and very bland lager from this brewery.

this looks nothing like the picture here, and now is produced in a curvy blue bottle, very modern looking, but the beer inside is nothing special. it tastes quite metallic as they go, and i think it has even less flavor than the imperial light, which is saying something! it is however nicely carbonated and fizzy on the tongue, which is great for refreshments sake, and helps this not be completely useless. its way way lighter than the bavaria gold, which actually has a little malt substance to it, this feels watered down and almost intentionally cheap, but its also somewhat less offensive than some of the other light beers down here, even if only because it has less going on in general. the blue bottle doesnt seem to be doing it any favors, as mine was a little oxidized, you know, that mealy cardboard sort of element. still, its super light and crisp, a big gulp off an ice cold bottle can be a wonderful thing in the right context, and in my experience in costa rica, its hard to find the wrong context honestly. an utterly forgettable beer if not for the packaging, but better than the dark i reckon, and probably on par with the bavaria chill, which was crisper to me, but had a lot of the same things happening. macro lager at its most pedestrian. for a beer person its hard to hate and impossible to love...
