Bottle: Poured a bright golden color lager with a small bubbly head with not much retention. Aroma of corn is somewhat apparent with light sweet aftertaste. Taste is quite bland with adjunct being obviously used in this beer. I must admit that I could probably not distinguish the different lager form this brewer as they so closely resemble each other.

Reviewed from memory of a vacation in Costa Rica.

Stopped at a small grocery shop on the way from San Jose to Jaco, and my buddy picked up a sixer of Rock Ice. Before I could open one of my own selections, he'd put a can in my hand, and so I was obligated to try it.

Smelled of salty corn with wisps of lemon - like some corn on the cob marinated in sprite.

Taste matched aroma.

Contents of can emptied out side window - can re-purposed for a more fitting task - community ash tray.

can labeled #7 from flexabull. been busy the past few weeks and this got lost in the shuffle. iirc, this is the final beer for blind bif #5, and most likely a killshot. let's go:

A: brilliantly clear light yellow, a finger of head that leaves a touch of lacing. generic industrial lager?

S: faint smells all around. a pils perhaps? touch of corn and saaz. smells a bit dusty, perhaps the faintest of lemons.

T: corn, pils malt. there is a bit of zesty freshness to this, it finishes slightly of lemons. after it warms, there's that similar your other killshot. just not as harsh.

M: light, clean, refreshing, easy drinking, nicely carbonated despite the quickly subsiding head.

O: nothing offensive here. the hint of lemons is either my aneurysm or intentional.

i might think this beer is consider a "cool refreshing" option, but my costarican friends said this beer is popular amoung girls because somehow is light.

when you smell it you can definetly sense a juicy flavor, is not sugar but is not also honey is just something in between, thats the after tastes , dry mouth with some corn flavor/candy or the like.

appearance is gold/yellow, little head, lots of bubbles, is just another standar American Macro Lager beer.. . nothing special about it.

The advertising for the beer just seems to be to print "ROCK ICE" as big as possible on billboards and truck covers. They spent less thought on the flavor than they did on the advertising (typical of most mega-brews I would say)

I chanced one bottle of this stuff, and gave the other 5 to a guy I saw sitting on the side of the road the next day. I am not sure he was all that happy about it.
