Gret vanilla flavor, honey is there but not much. Good balance. The vanilla provides a great sweet flavor that is not artificial or overpowering. A great beer.

Not sure if it was a bad bottle or that I had parabola before this but this tasted soapy and artificial vanilla. Thin body too.

Pours out looking like bart, no noticeable difference between this and the regular bart. Great aroma, love it, bourbon and vanilla and honey.

Taste, nice and sweet, covers alcohol heat so well, bourbon barrel is less in the background. Diabeetus jokes insert here.

22oz bottle into snifter.

A: Pours a deep dark cola brown with a finger of dense dark tan head. A thick and fuzzy film was left atop the beer most of the bottle through. Wispy streaks of lace were left down the glass.
S: Vanilla is easily noticeable and smells of fresh vanilla bean. It’s sweet, but not cloying, and it has a definite marshmallow quality to it. I get notes of coconut and a hint of chocolate as well.
T: Tons of vanilla, as expected, with flavors full of vanilla ice-cream, puffy marshmallow, and fresh coconut. Hints of caramel and chocolate poke through as well and add some roasted and bitter flavors, but overall the flavors are definitely vanilla-forward. The aftertaste is mellow and smooth.
M: Thick body, but not motor oil, sticky and chewy mouthfeel, with low and fuzzy carbonation. Drink very smoothly with no trace of warming or boozy alcohol at all.
O: A real treat; decadent and delicious. Definitely got to love vanilla to like this one.

Bomber bottle that looks like the newer relabeled/redesigned BART. What indicates this as being the vanilla version (this older batch anyway) is a hand written golden V drawn on the lower left of the label. Poured into a fifty fifty snifter, the brew appears a very dark cola brown to black with a firm khaki head.

Its smells earthy with roast almost leaning towards nutty with some raisony appeal and mild milk chocolate. It tastes sweet with sticky vanilla bean, chocolate, raison and earth overtop mild booziness across the finish.

This is full bodied and modestly carbonated. Some pretty decent stuff that is much better than normal BART. The vanill bean inclusion was really enjoyable.

Deep amberish brown in color.

It's called a strong ale but more like an English barley wine to me.

A little too much vanilla for me. Didn't think I'd ever say that. Tons of artificial vanilla extract flavors. If toned down, this would be really good.

Bottle pour at the post-FWIBF bottle share held at the Adelaide Inn in Paso Robles, CA.

Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one.

Pours a clear dark orange-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, and marshmallow aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa, vanilla bean, vanilla frosting, and marshmallow flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer that is tasty and super vanilla forward all around.
