Hazy, golden. Nose is slightly underwhelming with just hints of fruit but taste is terrific as it has that juicy fruit taste with just a bit of sweetness and a pleasant lingering bitterness.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is opaque gold/light copper, head is off white with small bubbles and head that presents 2 fingers deep and lingers very well with good lacing on the glass sides.

Smell is light malt, some citrus rind and earth, quite muted.

Taste quite fruity with citrus bent, lemon rind and grapefruit, light floral notes and some earth and resin, malt is present with some toast and light neutral sweetness.

Mouthfeel starts soft with low to moderate carbonation, mild sweetness, limited bitterness and drying but starts to provide some more as it warms.

Overall a softened ipa maybe - decent looking, light haze, low aroma, fruity/citrusy flavor and low malt with limited drying, does not scream AIPA to me but is drinkable.

Draft at Lost & Found. Light oange/golden pour, small foamy head. FRuity aroma, tropical notes.More fruit in the taste, with a trailing bitter edge. Solid, not overly bitter.

Not the best, not the worst. But if you demand an IPA and this is your only choice, it should suffice. The nose is fragrant and the mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a bit o' sugar flavor for the malt base. Some grassy hop notes with a touch of bitter fruit. Alewerks is typically a bit better than this, so I wouldn't use this as a benchmark for the brew quality in general.

Picked this up on my way home from the West Coast in March, when I was passing through Virginia. Never had anything from Alewerks before and although this beer wasn't bad, nothing in particular about it stood out to me. It was a typical, enjoyable American IPA that went down easily and just a bit too mindlessly for me...

Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was muted gold, with enough sediment floating in it for one of the few beers that I haven't had lying around past their prime (this was bottled on 2/20). Plenty of head topped it off and gosh, I can't recall any beer that I've had as of late whose lacing covered a majority of my pint glass after I took my sips. If only the aroma and taste was on par as the smell was a muted grapefruit and pineapple and the taste had a bit of pine, caramel, earthy funk, and basic malt on top of that. A lively, sudsy carbonation and acrid bitterness rounded things out but it was the slickness of the liquid that ended up saving this from being truly mediocre; even as this reminded me a bit of a Wild Ale.

The alcohol was almost a non-factor here as I couldn't taste or feel it and there wasn't much of a warming effect that could be detected either. Not a bad brew but with so many IPA's out there, this easily fell behind the pack in nearly every way. A light, but welcome diversion from the heavier brews that I'm accustomed to at this point.

Clean and lasting bitter. Decent earthy citrus, but not very delicious.

Drank straight from a 12 oz bottle. I had following Firestone Walker's Luponic Distortion No. 002, so may have impacted the palate a little bit. I've enjoyed AleWerks ales, and like Secret Admirer and some of their other IPAs a little more. Still a very solid IPA, well balanced, with a nice lingering hop bitterness aftertaste.

Cloudy and golden orange in color, like pineapple juice, with a 3 finger whitish head that leaves light lacing as it recedes.

Tropical and citric in aroma, again reminiscent of pineapple juice. Distinct piney aroma.

Light sweet malt with a hint of caramel/pineapple followed by light bitter grapefruit rind.

Rather full bodied for an IPA, call it medium full. smooth with light carbonation. Slightly drying.

Very good brew! Nothing seems out of whack. Everything fits together nicely.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a yellowish color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Excellent lacing.

S: A pretty good, but not great aroma of hops, tropical fruit, malt, and some citrus.

T: Tasted of a mild amount of malt (mostly in the finish), a whole lot of dank hops, a bit of citrus fruit (orange, in particular), a good shot of tropical fruit (mango), and light pine notes. A decent enough, and certainly direct IPA flavor. It was a bit heavier on the hops than it needed to be, but still light and refreshing.

F: A decent amount of carbonation with a mostly smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This is an uneven beer, but it still manages to be likable. Worth a look.

Poured from the bottle into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Opaque and unfiltered looking body, with a nice mix of lemon and tangerine orange body colors. Quite pale though, lots of carbonation and plentiful. Head is a big frothy pour of white clump and thickness. Easily three fingers with a big hanging retention, with peaks and valleys. Thick lacing abounds, real nice looker.

Excellent and solid hop aroma. Soft floral and pine notes, and small citrus zest and tropic accents on the hops. A small bready sweetness kicks in as well to balance and liven things up a bit as well. Real nicely put together.

Interesting beer. Goes for the solid basics with the mouthfeel being the most surprising. A mix of easy session feel, but fuller thick malt bodied. Excellent mid palate hop flavors of soft pine and a wet oily citrus character. Clean and very fruity finish, almost with a bit of peach and apricot aftertaste that lingers nicely.

A very nice solid IPA, almost into superb territory but not quite.

A: A pale yellow color, super cloudy with a huge white head.

S: Lovely tropical and citrus fruit aroma. Orange zest, pineapple, and grapefruit.

T: Taste follows smell. Bright and fruity with a huge dose of tropical fruit. Tangerine, orange zest, and pineapple.

M: Medium light body, with fairly active carbonation.

O: Overall a pretty dynamite IPA.
