Moooooooooooo. Cow time.

Serving style : 12 oz bottle poured into glass for appearance.

Appearance (4.5) : Pours a dark brown/black absolutely 100% opaque body with a nice 4 finger foamy chocolate shake head. It's like I just poured a glass of chocolate milk and added a half bottle of Hershey's syrup. I kinda likes it.

Smell (4.25) : Ah, like a chocolate shake. Cocoa, cocoa bean, roasted malted coffee bean, malted milk, chocolate syrup, a hint of good quality black liquorice, some yeasty malts. I feel like eating a candy bar.

Taste (4) : A weird oatmeal buzz that ends in chocolate bliss. The body contains a hint of sour ale, some of that roasted coffee bean, a hint of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and some pale sour malts. Ends pleasantly sour.

Out of the bottle it has more of the special dark chocolate/candy wrapper flavor. Ending with sour bean rather than sour malts.

Mouthfeel (4) : It's so thick and hearty. Drinkable like whole chocolate milk. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel and goes down easy. Very drinkable.

Overall (4.27) : I was super impressed with this beer. I would buy it again, and yes in a six pack, to share it around a fireplace or with friends on a chilly night. Heck, I'd just buy it to drink and relax with a good TV show or a nice book. This is the Borders of beer.
