Brasseries Kronenbourg "Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc"
330 ml blue glass bottle, production coded but without freshness dating
$2 @ Weis, Conshohocken, PA

Notes via stream of consciousness: Another beer that I've had many times but never reviewed, probably because I'd thought that I'd already had. Mostly I've had it on draft though, and I wasn't aware that it had "natural flavor and caramel color added". That's a little disappointing, more for the "natural flavor" than the "caramel color". I wonder what that natural flavor is? Anyway, it's a hazy yellow gold beneath an average-sized head of bright white that steadily dwindles down into a thin creamy cap. The aroma is floral and delicately spicy over a sweetish, lightly wheaty malt base. The flavor adds a distinct note of lemon, and then orange, and I'm guessing that's the "natural flavor" that's been added. There's a touch of coriander seed in both flavor and spiciness, and along with a limited bitterness and light touch of acidity it comes to a semi-dry finish with just a dollop of sweetish malt gently lingering. A light body and crisp carbonation help as well. It's not the best Belgian-style witbier, but it is nice. It's actually quite refreshing on a warm day, although I've also enjoyed it at an outside bar on a chilly spring afternoon.

Had this beer in a restaurant in Vegas. hoping to find it in a liquor store in Utah but was unsuccessful, not surprisingly! This was one of the smoothest best tasting summer beers I've ever had and I would love to find it.

This is a light and smooth belgian witbier style, made in Strasbourg, France. It pours a fine yellow liquid with a little foamy head. Orange taste is very present, with some subtle spicy notes. It goes down easy. I recommend it for those who cannot take Franziskaner or Hoegaarden, but still would like to enjoy some beer in that style. 3.85/5

Pours a hazy light yellow color with a white head and also has some lacing. Fruity and skunky on the smell. Taste and feel are both good, light body and lemon lime flavor. Not bad on a hot day.

Poured into a pint glass. Has cloudy yellow looks and pours a nice foamy head. Lime and lemon is there along with some spice and sweetness Drinks super easy. Very different but worth a try
