Great clarity for an IPA. Smooth and light smell, taste and feel. Easy to drink. Not sure it fits in the IPA class. Great tasting beer tho.

From a 355 ml bottle (no date) to a tulip.
A-This is a nice looking beer (especially compared to the hazy beer trend). The light amber liquid is perfectly clear in the glass. On top is two-ish fingers of off-white head. The foam is dense and retention is pretty good. A bit of lacing is left on the glass.
S-The aroma is sorta simple, but pleasant. I sniff quite a bit of pine, some grapefruit, and lime. The beer's bitterness is matched nicely by flavors of caramel and honey. This thing has some malty sweetness and it trends closer to an English-style IPA than many beer drinkers might prefer, but I'm digging it.
T-The taste tracks closely to the smell. Mildly bitter pine flavors mingle with grapefruit and lime. Some floral notes linger too. The finish is on the sweet side for the style, but the caramel does a nice job of balancing the hops on the long finish.
M-The beer drinks easily with a mild amount of carbonation. While the flavors are a little earthy, the beer finishes clean with virtually no hop residue.
O-I can't say this beer will set any worlds on fire, but I would happily sit down and drink a pair of these in an evening. Nice balance and drinkability. If you're looking for a well-done IPA that is off the beaten path, this beer is a good option.

On tap at the brewery's taproom/restaurant. Nice dark copper color, with a fluffy white head. Good retention and lacing. Nice piney aroma, with a touch of grainy malt sweetness in the nose. The flavor had an equal mix of piney bitterness and flowery hoppiness, with a nice sweet backbone. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with nice carbonation. Overall, pretty tasty.
