Thanks to Ninjaworm for this tasty experience.

Pours a nice bright gold and sits amber in the glass with a nice white head and good lacings.

Smells highly of citric hops, grapefruit, lemon and orange. Malty sweetness lies beneath and bears notes of caramel and a light, crackery aroma.

Tastes mildy sweet up front and bears an herbal/green flavor of leaves and flowers, then bursts into a flavor-packed grapefruit experience. Hops are all over the board and pull out from the malty sweetness that swirls around beneath. Bright and full of tasty hops. Finishes with easy to handle bitterness and lingering oily hop residue and caramely sweetness. Plain yummy.

Crisp and clean in the mouth packed with lively carbonation in a medium body. Easy to handle and a pleasure to drink. Sadly, this beer didn't last very long, and I doubt I'll see one again anytime soon. A delicious IPA. Thanks again, Ninjaworm.

12oz bottle from Secret Santa ninjaworm. Thanks for the opportunity.

Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/4" white head above the cloudy golden amber brew. Head sfades to a light layer of bubbles, and lacing is average. Aroma is piney hops with a nice malty backbone. Taste is upfront with the hops bitterness, smooths into some malt sweetness, and then reverts back to a wave goodbye with some more hops character. Mouthfeel and drinkability are both good, smooth and thirst-quenching. A good brew, even out of season, in this case.

Clear yellow-orange body, and a frothy white head. The smell is a classic floral hop, on the lighter side of things though. The taste is a classic IPA flower hops, although more on the light side, but not too light to make it a wussy beer. Decent amount of bitter hops, and a mild malt. Mouth feel is watery and clean. Drink ability is good because this is an easy going IPA, can appeal to the mainstream, great for the summer.

Appearance: Light penny colored. Very clear. The white head was very retentive.

Aroma: Up front bitterness strikes the nose. There are obvious citrus notes, but the piney and vegital smells from the hops are present as well. The hints of sweetness is dominated by the hop aroma.

Taste: Fruity grapefruit is strong. The nutty malt in the beginning of the taste is eclipsed by the bitterness that causes the finish to be quick. The sharp finish may lead to a bit of harsh citrusy bitterness peeking through into the flavor. The carbonation is good, leading to a solid body.

Notes: Good beer, it's one of my favorites at CBC. I think it would be a good choice for them to make this one a year round product.

The pint always came a crystal clear very pale golden with a white head which stood proud and laced the glass.

The aroma varied in hop presence. Once it was barely there, but the bar was some what smoky. The other two times the aroma was pleasant and citrusy with a slight fruitiness. Malt presence was in the background and not prominent.

The flavor each time began with a slight sweetness, but from malt, not from caramel. Almost a honey sweetness. That quickly changed, almost immediately to a pleasant citrusy hop flavor and bitterness.

The finish was dry and plesantly bitter well into the aftertaste and beyond. The body was medium.

The beer was a nice solid Pale Ale, but could have been more malty and hoppy and have been an excellent IPA. Still a solid brew.

I had this beer three times this weekend. Once on tap at the Down Under at the Durham rollout party. Again the next day at the SMI at there booth, and then after the SMI at the Village Draft House. The review is a mixture of the three experiences.
