Had this one on tap--just a remarkable beer. Very nice tan/light amber color. Creamy in the mouth, and a bit sweet, though certainly not overwhelmingly so. Goes down very easy with little aftertaste. Dangerously drinkable at 8.4 ABV. A pleasure--made me want to try the rest of Rock Bottom's brews.

The best barley-wine style ale that I have had in a long time, hands down. Minimal sediment on the pour, with a sand colored head that retains longer than any of the others that I have had of this style (still only holds for a couple minutes). Fruity, flowery, and overall pleasant nose. Mouthfeel is unbelievably rich and "chewy", with an overpowering sweetness that is reminiscent of a Belgian tripel or trappist style ale (at least it is reminiscent of the ones I have tried), Definetely a beer I would use as an example of the style, and one I could recommend to anyone looking for a uniquely good time.

Had this cask-conditioned.... Dark copper colored with a fine, creamy head. Has a mild, malty-sweet nose. Body is medium-full, and smoothness is medium-smooth on the tongue. Great sweet, malty flavor, with alcohol warming you on the way down. Mmmmmmmm!

Had this bad-ass beer on cask. Oh yeah.
Slightly cloudy, orange/red amber w/ a creamy, sticky, tightly laced head. Wet paper, biscuit, alcohol and fruit in the nose. Mouthfeel is super creamy, smooth, light but syrupy too -- practically floats on the tongue. One of the best "bodied" beers that I've ever had. Flavours are indicative of a mature beer -- all smoothed together, like the flavours had some time to get to know each other. Bready/biscuit foundation. Hop flavour is tea-like, tamely bitter and sinks into a rich caramel flavour. Finishes w/ some sweet residual, but for the most part is clean.
