Lionshead Light is brewed with premium American malt and hops. This flagship pilsner has a pale straw color and subtle sweet aroma. With an ease of drinkability, paired with a refreshing finish, please remember to Roar Responsibly!

A friend of mine gave me a 6-pack of this the other day. Poured the final bottle into a pint glass for review. Pours a pale, translucent gold with fine lace on top. No head or lace left behind on the glass. Nose is of cheap grains and freshly-cut honeycrisp apples. The mouth is crisp and thin. Very light, not surprisingly. Very sweet beer. Light apple juice, mild corn, sweet finish. This drinks like flavored water, and it is refreshing. I'll give it that. Decent enough to wash down some wings or something, but nothing I'd stock the fridge with on a regular basis.

My favorite part of this beer was the pictorial riddles under each cap. Nice little touch to an otherwise boring beer.

Got a 12 pack of this at Weis for $7. Was a little put off by the words "DELUXE PILSNER BEER" at first, because this is definitely an AAL and not a Pilsner. Sorta like Miller Lite, this just seems like a strange marketing tactic to me. Cold 12 oz. can poured into a pilsner glass.

L: Similar to Coors Light. Amber color, small fizzy white head that quickly recedes. Minimal carbonation, but more than other light AAL's.

S: Grains, sweet boiled corn, some soap. A slight whiff of grassy hops.

T: Very complex for the price tag and style. About as much flavor as local competitor Yuengling Light, but at almost half the price. Same soapy grains up front as in the smell, but balanced out by sweet malts and a hint of the most mild hop bitterness.

F: A little thick and syrupy for a beer of this style. At 120 calories, it's a fairly heavy "light" beer. Still, the carbonation makes it a little more refreshing. Certainly the kind of beer you could drink a lot of in a social setting.

Overall, judged within the style and price point, this is a fantastic light beer. There is no reason to buy any other light beer in my area, as none anywhere near the price point have the flavor this does. It still does not depose Genny Cream as my personal "King of the Cheap Beers", but it has become my go-to light beer.
