Pours very light gold and has a small head that disappears faster than anticipated. The taste is surprisingly refreshing at a price so cheap. The taste is pretty straight forward cereal grains sort of has a zest at the end. Feels good in the mouth and is super easy to drink. Good beer anytime of the year.

Got a 12 pack of this at Weis for $7. Was a little put off by the words "DELUXE PILSNER BEER" at first, because this is definitely an AAL and not a Pilsner. Sorta like Miller Lite, this just seems like a strange marketing tactic to me. Cold 12 oz. can poured into a pilsner glass.

L: Similar to Coors Light. Amber color, small fizzy white head that quickly recedes. Minimal carbonation, but more than other light AAL's.

S: Grains, sweet boiled corn, some soap. A slight whiff of grassy hops.

T: Very complex for the price tag and style. About as much flavor as local competitor Yuengling Light, but at almost half the price. Same soapy grains up front as in the smell, but balanced out by sweet malts and a hint of the most mild hop bitterness.

F: A little thick and syrupy for a beer of this style. At 120 calories, it's a fairly heavy "light" beer. Still, the carbonation makes it a little more refreshing. Certainly the kind of beer you could drink a lot of in a social setting.

Overall, judged within the style and price point, this is a fantastic light beer. There is no reason to buy any other light beer in my area, as none anywhere near the price point have the flavor this does. It still does not depose Genny Cream as my personal "King of the Cheap Beers", but it has become my go-to light beer.
