Presentation: 12 ounce brown bottle with a twist off cap, looks like the BA Database picture, but of interest is that the label design is actually printed on transparent stickers. Labeled as Brewery Hill Brewing Co., Wilkes-Barre, PA .so it took me a while to find this one here as it is listed under Lion Brewery, Inc. The neck has an inkjet code (date?) of 31902 1309, guess that means bottled on 1:09pm on 31st September 2002, so this must be an old one then!
Appearance: Straw colored body with some golden hints. Clotted lacing from the white head sticks to the sides. Big bubbled ¼ thick head that looks broken and hole-y, but is in fact quite consistent throughout the drink.
Nose: Grainy and sweet with a light tart pineapple hint. Some feint hops but not much else. As it warms the sweetness and grain turns a tad puke-like. Off-putting.
Taste: Soft on the palate, the sweetness is residual and the malts are bread like with a doughy nature. Not really crisp, nor clean, but it is passable, just, as an average Light Lager.
Mouthfeel: Thin with little in the way of body, the nothingness is pervasive though and soon turns to boredom. Watery.
Drinkability: Low on conditioning but the carbonation was enough to lend life to what is after all a Light Lager destined for consumption in quantity. But I found it rather boring to be honest.
Overall: This may have been old, but my interpretation of the code on the bottle neck could be wrong given that it would be over 3 years old, and I dont really seeing much last that long. Even if it was, it didnt seem to have lost anything, but it never seemed to have anything special to start with anyway. Below average.

I was a bit skeptical when I tried this light beer form the variety pack. My skepticism was warranted...not too much to write about here. The appearance was a bland, clear, pale yellow color, with a very slight head. The smell had a hint of malt, barely noticeable. To its credit, this light beer retained some of its freshness. This quality was just about the only thing that saved it, though. It also tasted a bit dry, and had a grainy quality to it. Very little hops, watered down...typical light beer. It had an unimpressive mouthfeel, and its water-like consistency made it mildly drinkable. It's kind of a shame when decent regional breweries are forced to produce a mediocre-at-best light beer. I guess this one will do in a pinch, but very little separates it from the crappy light macros.

This is from the Pocono Party Pack. I drank it in a pilsner glass. Code painted on the bottle says 10504 1403. If that means October 5th, 2004, that would be weird. This beer is fresh.
Pours a crystal clear yellow. With a fairly fast pour, I got a one finger head of white foam that stayed pretty long, with decent lacing on the glass. Carbonation looks medium.
A light grain aroma, with very faint spicy hops in the background. Merely a hint of DMS if you work hard. Not too bad for a light beer.
Flavor is thin bready malt, clean, fairly sweet, with a decent enough hop bitterness and a definitely there spicy hop taste. Aftertaste is short malty sweetness. Not too bad for a light beer! Finish is semi-sweet.
If one reviews this beer objectively, according to style, not personal preference, this is a pretty damn good light beer. I would be willing to bet this is an all malt beer. NOT TOO BAD FOR A LIGHT BEER!

As a light beer, this hovers around average compared to other light beers. Not being a light beer lover, I won't be trying this again. It poured a pale yellow color with a thin head. A touch of lace did develop after the first tilt of the glass. Barely any carbonation bubbles were noticeable. No aroma.
The flavor was typical light - thin maltiness with bitterness sorely lacking. It had an extremely light and dull mouthfeel from the lack of any decent carbonation, and had a chalky finish. Definitely a beer made for mass consumption a step above water. But not any worse than other light beers out there.

The beer pours a very pale gold color with a thin white lace head. The aroma is actually pretty good. This is a light beer with some malt scent. The taste is above average. It has a light feel and a refreshing finish with a slight malty character. The mouthfeel is good. It is a low bodied beer with good carbonation. This beer drinks about average. It has more flavor than most light beers, but it still is weak and low on flavor.

Poured a hazy golden color with white puffy head that very rapidly fell to a thin ring. Smell is sweet and fruity and somewhat unappetizing. Taste is on the creamy side but very light and easily forgettable. Finish is pretty tasteless, yet still refreshing. Not a bad beer, better than most light lagers.

Pocono Light....from the Pocono Party Pack...
Appearance-pale golden yellow, decent amount of fizzy foam that sticks around for a few before dissipitating.
Smell-fairly clean, I do detect some malt but not much else, no hoppiness, alcohol, or otherwise.
Taste-fairly tasteless, some malt does come through again but for the most part this tastes like water.
Mouthfeel-watery with a little bit of malt.
Drinkability-somewhat malty and low ABV, you could pound these that's for sure.
Overall-Yawn, sorry for the not so detailed review but this is another not so detailed light beer, even from an ok brewery like Pocono. This is nothing to seek out.
