A full-bodied ale with hints of pumpkin pie, brown sugar and spices. We brew this ale with real pumpkin and spices and allow it to slowly age to bring out the full aromas and tastes. It’s a wonderful way to savor fall’s best flavors.

12oz bottle served in a "Geordie Schooner".
L - hazed amber color with a small white head that thinned out after a few minutes.
S - good pumpkin spice aroma - cinnamon and nutmeg stand out.
T - the spices are not overpowering nor too sweet, it's just right.
F - medium bodied with mild carbonation.
O - a fairly decent pumpkin ale.

L. Orange to amber, small frothy head down to a thin cap.
S. Allspice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove maybe, faint sweetness.
T. Flavors seem to take a moment before they hit you. Bready, then some spice like nutmeg or allspice, then honey-like sweetness, pumpkin, graham cracker, sweet vanilla toward the end with maybe a hint of cinnamon. Not real bitter.
F. Pretty light leaning toward a medium body, low carbonation, pretty slick and smooth.
O. For a typical pumpkin beer it's really good. All the right flavors in great balance, mild sweetness, easy drinking. Cheers ! ! !

Poured into a narrow pint glass: color is amber, head is very light tan with fine bubbles, some lacing on the glass and head leaves a thin top.
Smell is all spice but a decent blend with dominant cinnamon, then mix of typical pumpkin pie spices, maybe some light caramel malt.
Taste is a bit thin with the spice profile dominating, similar mix of spice with strong cinnamon, not much malt character or other fermentables for that.
Mouthfeel is crisp, dry from the spice but not overdone.
Overall a good pumpkin ale, if a bit thin in the flavor after the spices dominate.

-Spiegelau ipa glass.
A: Dark tawny orange with some cherry tomato highlights. A milky beige head is slight in size, 0.25inches, and sticks around. A steady rush of medium density of micro-bubbles rise moderately.
S: Cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg are strongly represented upon first un-canning. A background of fresh pumpkins and fresh yams are met with some sweet brown sugar nuances. Freshly baked pumpkin pie/crust with a average to above average strength, good diversity, some natural pumpkin and pumpkin pie spicing, blending nicely, never overpowering.
T: Toasty pumpkin bread and grains. Munich and brown sugar sweetness, with some pumpkin freshness. Nice spicing of cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon, once again, blend well together and distinguishable. Some honey-crystal malts, and pie crust.
M: Slippery, creamy malts, softly carbonated, Dry powdery pumpkin pie lacing on the tongue.
O: A decent drinkable pumpkin beer, with an pumpkin toastiness like feel. Well rounded, not overly spiced, but enough to give accents when needed, along with some fresh pumpkin attributes. Pub style, casual drinker.

Bought for $7.75 for a 12 pack. Decided to give it a try because of the price. Tastes just like pumpkin pie while still being 5.5% abv. Best pumpkin beer I've ever had.

For an inexpensive pumpkin, was not expecting a lot for this one but was pleasantly surprised. Tastes like a good pumpkin. While I have had better (for much more), for the price, Stegmaier is a good value.
