Wow a bar with some real micros within walking distance of my house in Hamburg who woulda thunk.A place that just opened about the time I moved here back in April this place has been touting their wings and sauce (more about that later)and I actually heard they had "yuppie" beers the words from a Blue swilling co worker of my wife.As you walk up you notice two doors one goes into the dining room one goes into the bar, this place is old no doubt about it a long wrap around bar on one side and a room with about 10 tables on one side from the looks ok it the dining area looks like an old house turned into a restaurant dining room its dimly lit and cozy I liked it.Tap selection included this years Southern Tier Old Man Winter,Ithica Cascazilla,Otter Creek Stove Pipe Porter,HopDevil, and Spaten Lager, not to mention the Canadian macro swill wich they call domestic around here.We went on a Friday and the Buffalo Friday fish fry was in full force everyone got it well except me and my wife I think we ordered the popcorn chicken with medium sauce wich were pretty good my wife got the fish sandwich wich she liked I got the Old Foghorn the spicey chicken sandwich wich was pretty damn hot.The next night I went up there after the Ellicottville Beer and Wine fest to have some wings and well they were average. In many parts of the country they would have been top notch but here where a good wing is a dime a dozen these were avareage,I like the Hamburg area bar crowd outside of the Blue swilling good honest friendly people and alot of the patrons here opt for micro so thats good to see.Talked to the owner and he says he has the biggest micro account in the south towns hmmm. that remains to be seen but its a nice little beer gem within 3-4 blocks of where I live I see quite a few walks instore this cold snowy winter.

this place is the closest beer bar to my house, about one mile down the road. i dont visit it too much, but during the summer, i usually take a walk down to see whats going on.

they are known for there wings, which in my opinion are average at best. they are sauceless wings, which in my opinion is there downfall. the BBQ wings do in fact have sauce on them and are a little better. i havent had much else from the rest of their menu, but most of it sounds very appetizing and friends and family that have had stuff said it was pretty good.

why i said i enjoy this place in the summer is because they have a very nice outdoor area right on the street with an awning overhead. inside, there is 2 rooms, one with a few tables for eating, and the other a bar. very friendly bartenders, but they only have a layman's knowledge of good beer.

decent selection of beer, but never anything too crazy good. almost every kind of big macro if thats your thing. about 8 or so taps of craft, with always atleast a few local choices (southern tier, EBC, ithaca, etc.). i believe they fill growlers as well.

overall: a decent place to stop by if your in the village of hamburg and want a pint and if dry wings are your thing. nice atmosphere outside. but if your coming here for wings, i would suggest just about any other pizza place in the area.
