Golden sunshine with cratered white head with a few trailers. Honey on buttermilk biscuit nose.
Thin grainy sweetness with some toast and mild lemon hops. White plum finish and lemon peel linger. Watery, crisp, slight stick.

More a golden ale, and a lightweight one at that. A quencher, for sure, but I've seen a lot more character with the same low ABV. Not sure what this is meant to do.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Jan 2011, so it's a little out of date. Given to me as a Christmas present.

Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. A clear golden colour with medium carbonation. Produces a foamy white head that disappears within a minute or so. Aroma is dominated by a strong buttery note (diacetyl). Hints of light malt and citrus notes.

Tastes of light malt, although the flavour is also dominated by a distinctive buttery note. Notes of citrus, and a crisp bitter finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and slightly oily. Mild aftertaste of malt and butter.

This has the potential to be a rather nice ale, but the buttery note needs to go. Fix the diacetyl problem and I think you'd have a decent light ale for warmer weather. Worth sampling if you encounter it.
