While waiting for the Milwauktoberfest to start this past Saturday my girlfriend and I walked down the street to this place for a beer and appetizer. It was around 1-ish and seemed a little empty for lunch time. We were seated in a booth right away. Exposed wood trusses in the ceiling and exposed brick were a nice touch. A large painting of the lady in the moon High Life on the brick was very cool. Some other beer memorabilia adorned the walls as well.

The draft beer was just fine. She had a Riverwest and I had a Pilsner Urquell while we waited for our ridiculous appetizer. $7.50 for a little bowl of deep-fried cheese curds that were a) not melted very much on the inside and b) almost all thick, crunchy breading. For the price, they were stupid.

Our service was fine and nothing to complain about but certainly nothing to give an extra tip for. The only reason I did is because we sat at a booth for two beers and an appetizer when we could have just gone to the bar.

The selection was varied but lacking any real craft beer. There were decent brews to choose from, but most are available at any place with more than 5 taps.

As far as the cost being "reasonable" the beers were $4 and $5 which I consider average for the city. The cost of the appetizer was stupid even for it being in the city.

Overall, it's not a place I'd recommend or really bother going to again.

Been here many times. Never reviewed it. Found myself in the area so I stopped in for a drink.

Just another typical sports bar. Loads of flat screens and people watching the game. I enjoy sports as much as I do beer so that's not a bad thing in my opinion. Just not real beer bar like.

Pretty much BMC all around. A handful of craft taps and some craft bottle options but nothing special. I usually get a Lakefront Riverwest or Guinness when I visit. Which I did so on this evening too.

Service is typical. Nothing over the top either way.

The food is decent. We like to get the sampler platter so we can enjoy a bunch of flavors. Tonight we had eaten so no food.

Overall just another bar in the ocean of bars we call Milwaukee.

a- good atmosphere many tv's and a variety of seats, at the bar, in a booth or a table, nice windows to view the street

q- very good, little clean and in a good area of the city, i will come here again. A Sox game was on and it was a very mixed crowd

s- i had gone on a thur night the food came quick, but had to wait when ordered, esp. beer i ordered a bev during dinner, and i did not get it until i almost ate all my food

s-selection isn't very good, i think they had 5-7 on tap, no seasonals!!

v- extremely reasonable and drink specials every day of the week, i believe that tuesday might be two for one beers
