On-tap at Thirsty Monk, Asheville, NC

A: The beer is clear yellow in color. It poured with a thin white head that died down and left a thin layer of bubbles on the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of peppercorns—the kind that come in a bottle immersed in oil—are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell but the peppercorns are subdued and there are also some notes of herbs.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting beer that has an unusual mix of flavors.

Served on tap at Sam's in Durham. Poured into a Big Boss pint glass.

Pours a golden color with a light white head. Smell is intense peppercorns. very appealing. Taste is more of the same...a very huge peppercorn flavor that goes down smooth and leaves you wanting more and more. Extremely drinkable and good if youre a fan of that particular spice. Medium carbonation, medium bodied.

Overall an extremely enjoyable niche beer. Its not hot or "spicy" but its so flavorful with the szechuan peppercorns. I loved it.
